Ric

profs_fan if you will be staying in Alliance Friday night let me know.  Might be able to get away for a little night before party.

JT

Ric,

Cool.  If any of you Raider fans can add to the tailgating info, atmosphere, booze, rules etc., it would be greatly appreciated.  I can pass it on to the students and fans that might be making the trip.

Ric

JT please tell me Rowan will bring the yellow uni's with brown numbers rather than the white ones with yellow numbers. Mount Union's black jerseys with purple numbers are hard enough to read.

JT

Ric,

I might be wrong but I think the Rowan on the helmet began in 1991 when the Profs lost to Ithaca in the 2nd round.  Rowan College began as an entity in 1991.  John Bunting was still the head coach through 1992.  The last year for the "Alabama" style helmets was 1990.

Jt - I can speak to the brunch. It takes place in the Hoover-Price Campus Center immediately north of the stadium. Price is six dollars for adults and four dollars for children. All are welcome and I'm sure Prof fans will be well treated. It is in the cafeteria and features both breakfast and lunch with eggs, bacon, hash browns giant waffles and sometimes omelettes, as well as hamburgers cheeseburgers and regular lunch entries which never interest me much. Also salad and dessert bars and self serve sundae bar. Maybe someone else will talk about tailgating since I'm too much of a weenie to eat/drink outside this time of year.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Ric,

As long as Larry approves, they may come in yellow. However, they've been winning on the road during the playoffs in white.  Superstitions abound in sports... so you never know.

I think the 93 Stagg Bowl pictures on Ric's site show Giants style lettering on both teams helmets.

70's,

Thanks.... can any of you pre-game Raider party people add to the tailgating info?  I'll pass it on.

jdean

On the uniforms issue, the championship handbook says the host institution will be the home team and will wear dark jerseys...the visiting team will wear white jerseys.

Pat Coleman

This is true.

However, it was apparently not followed in at least one game this season -- Ferrum wore gold at Wesley in the first round.

The tailgating at Mount is very accomodating.  They have no problem with alcohol as long as it is in a cup and you are not being obnoxious. There is a lot on the south west side of the stadium that is used my most tailgaters.
You will find the people very friendly. Expect the good natured jab, but nothing harsh. You will get more "good lucks" than "were gonna kick your a$$" crap.
I usually do brats, depends on how cold. (it's a wife thing). Please feel free to tailgate, we always enjoy meeting other D3 fans.

Not to disagree with Ace but most us would consider that parking lot west of the stadium. See below map:

http://www.muc.edu/campus_map/one.html

It's the lot between 5 and 8

Better be in the lot by 10:00. It will fill up fast this week.

We had a large tailgate last year at Homecoming and it was not a problem.  We parked in the lot mentioned by seventiesdraider.  We got there at 9-9:30 and the lot was filling up.  Of course it is alot colder now.

Enjoy the game.  As a Mount Union grad and NJ resident, I would love to make the trip west on I-80, but the wife and kids are keeping me under wraps this week-end (especially with the holidays right around the corner).

Enjoy the game.  Should be a great one.  No repeat of 1999 please.

My wife, daughter and I went to MU the year we (RU) ended "the streak." The atmosphere was great and the MU faithful were hospitable and fun, even with the loss.  There were a  few idiots here and there, but we have them too.  All in all, it was a fantastic place to visit and see a game.

I just  hope they go easy on us this year.  ;)

The only way to silence the NCAC vs OAC low blows are to got  on the schedule.   Mount has had to go to Wisconsin, Missouri, and next year must travel to Virginia to get an opening game...

I would love to see Wooster on our schedule...It used to be a great rivalry...

Wabash, Witt, Allegheny...get on your athletic administrators and let's get it done...I think the first week on the season with a NCAC/OAC schedule and rotating teams would be terrific....sort of like the ACC/Big Ten challenge, but in football....

First week every year, and rotate opponents

Mount vs Bash
Cap  vs Wooster
JCU vs Allegheny
BW vs WItt    etc etc...

You left off the best one

Hiram vs. the Berg.
