zman,

I'm still amazed when the hatred for Rowan exceeds rational thinking.  The BC fans doth protest too much, methinks.

We don't protest. We won.

JT

pak97,

Yes but your hatred of Rowan is misplaced.  I'm not going to get into psychology of it. z-man was making a joke.  You guys have very thin skins for being the "winners".  I don't really mention clock or the game online anymore.  I'm convinced you guys do clock and Rowan searches daily.  I'm tired of dealing with it because there will always be the truth and "your truth".  Then pages of he said/he did/ they did follow.  Let it rest.

It was just a joke, Rowan fans can't even make fun of their own pain.

This guy just wants to stir the pot- I think its best to ignore his ignorance

How much have we matured Raider fans?  It used to be us bickering with the likes of ONU, JCU, B-W and all the one hit wonders (playoff foes).  But now we get to sit in our cozy little board and talk about next year and be friends like we're sitting next to one another in a pue waiting on the priest to begin mass while this year is still going on and watch as Bridgewater and Rowan go at it over the clock thing from four years ago.

You know I still have the video of those last Bridgewater plays and you can still see the clock stop before it should.  Was Bridgewater at fault? No.  Did they benefit? Yes. It was a horrible injustice but we've all had favorite teams lose games on a bad call.  Hell I'm a Browns fan, I can probably think of ten right off the top of my head. The point is the clock operator was an embarrasment, and the officials blew it.  But if you're going to still debate it do it on one of your own boards, or create a new one.

The bridgewater fan is misguided and misplaced-at least we have areason to be in here.

Ric,

I'm convinced some BC fans do daily searches.  They also seem to lack a sense of humor after 4 years.  We all know why some BC fans hate Rowan, but they need to get over themselves.

JT

Now on to more important topics... so Ric will you be doing karoke on Friday night?

Ric

JT I do not drink, thus I will not be singing.

Well here is the miserable 4 seconds that lasted longer -- Lets be honest Rowan got screwed.

Oh well since I'll be driving back to Canton to the hotel afterwards,  I won't be "relaxed" enough to sing either.  Looking forward to meeting some of the Mount gang on Friday.

Since there seems to be a lull in the action, I'll throw out another dumb question. I thought that the NCAA set the ticket prices for the playoffs, yet as a friend pointed out to me and that I verified on thier website, Linfield was selling 10 & 12 dollar reserved seat tickets for their games. I was never impressed that they looked like they were that desperate for cash, I mean what would they have raised 7-10 grand?? I like the Whitewater approach, find a donor and give away tickets.

I beleive that NCAA sets the minimum price that can be charged its up to the host school what the actual ticket price will be. I beleive that's the case, but Pat or Ric probably know the rule on that one.

mtfan is correct.

However, I don't think the school gets to pocket the overage. Could be mistaken, though -- I have never worked with an NCAA budget form.

Then the question would have to be asked if the school didn't get to keep the extra charge why make your fans pay more? Unless they charge more for regular season games and feel like they can't lower the price come playoff time.

seventiesraider

Thanks Gentlemen, I guess I just don't want the NCAA thinking 12 bucks is a good ticket price for a DIII playoff game. God knows they probably aren't making a dime on those ugly playoff t-shirts they send to ever site. They have seldom been attractive, but this years colors stumped any urge to buy yet another t-shirt. Anyway, I just bought the 1998 National Championship t-shirt I couldn't afford in Salem, brand new with tags on Ebay.

I think that's the thinking, yeah.
