A carry over from the NJAC board (with apologies to WS)

RU Fan- Dost thou not suspect my place? Dost thou not suspect my years? O, you were here to write me down an ass! Masters of this board, remember that RU says that I am an ass, it has been written down, forget you not that I am an ass.--

No, thou villan, thou art full of piety, as shall be proved upon thee by good witness. I am a wise fellow and, which is more, a householder and, which is more, as pretty a piece of flesh as any is in Alliance, and one that knows the law.

Go to, and take this fellow, RU, who suports a team that hath had many losses to the Raiders, and one that hath had five Stagg Bowl appearences and never a win.--Bring him away.--

O, that I had been writ down an ass!....... ;D ;D ;D

Coach Kehres, -- this plantiff now called RU Fan, he of the brown and yellow, this offender, did call me an ass. I beseech you, let it be remembered in his punishment.

GO RAIDERS--BEAT ROWAN (ONCE AGAIN!)

I met a number of Rowan fans in Maine when Mount Union and Rowan's womens basketball teams made the final four. They were a wonderful group;friendly, class acts.I'm sure we will see more of the same Saturday.

#5 sounds like it could be Josh Liddell (sp?) who recently coached at Alfred University before quitting to play semi pro football for the Erie indoor team

Yep, I think you are right.

I see that WOJO is the defensive secondary coach for the Raiders.  It appears that Rowan passes alot and with  better than average results.  I hope our def. sec. coach learned alot from the last cap game.  I believe this Rowan team will play with max. intensity and give the Raiders all they want on saturday.    GO Raiders!

Last forecast I saw says a high of 30 with winds 20-30mph
for game day. Sounds like a bad day to be kicking, punting or passing into the wind. Run Kmic, Run.

GOOD LUCK to all the Big Purple fans!!  Should be a great game--  "...closer than the experts think..." ;)

later...                 GO PROFS!!

To all:

Mrs. Zman and I are heading out tomorrow to your lovely university...I've seen every RU/MU game...the thrill of victory (1), the agony of defeat (3).  But they've always been interesting.  We enjoyed our visit in '99, and I know we will enjoy this time as well...regardless of the outcome.  MU has a great program, coaches, team (again) and....fans.  And so do we.

Safe travels to all.

let it snow let it snow let it snow... mount is going to tough to beat.  They have an exsposive offense led by Garcon and a great defense with probably the top 3 defensive lines and one heck of a linebacking core.  Rowan will have to control # 97 Wolfe if they stand a chance up front.  Having played him 2 times he is one of the best.  I had the chance to play against Dillard  years ago and Wolfe is every bit as good if not better.  Represent the OAC and show D-III that we have not lost a step

If you are referring to #97 on Mount's DLine, that would be Jesse Wells. Or are you referring to #94 Buddy Wolf?  Both are great lineman, Wells plays the run really well and Buddy Wolf can get into the back field quickly to disrupt the passing game.  Last week I saw him split a double team like it was nothing.  Soon after that Cap had to triple team him and I'm pretty sure they were holding him as well.  Either guy is tough to stop.  The whole DLine is tough to stop.  I think you are right though, Rowan must control the line of scrimmage to have a good shot at beating Mount.  I think this game is going to be a great game, probably more of a defensive battle than the Cap game, but it hopefully will be every bit as entertaining.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

Kirasdad,

Thanks for the link on a nice ariticle. Terry also did not mention Ron Lynn and Dom Capers in the pros. Granted they were coach and player with LK but still a part of a "cradle of coaches" developing out of Alliance.

I was so glad to read of the Margaret and Reginald sightings the last couple of weeks. They were really torn between the playoffs and the "Wild nut walk" at the Houston Nature Center. They must be loading the thermos with plenty of antifreeze. Their "spirits" seem to be contagious since I heard very loud cheering on the broadcast last week. (trouble was that happens on the visitors side of the stands) I knew if they started spiking the hot chocolate in the concession stand there would be more student and fan participation. We will need their support again this week because Rowan will present another tough challenge for the Raiders.
Let' blow those speakers up.

Is the new Pres doing pushups this year.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
