Good luck MUC in the Stagg bowl

Is Mount good enough to win next week? The only way to find out was to win today and they played tough on both sides of the ball. Stickley played like a man possessed--big presence today.  Have to give Rowan's defense a hand as they played us as good as anyone.
Hope Mount came thru this healthy enought to give UWW a game next week. Good luck in Salem Mount

The OAC is dominant, check out the conferences overall record in the playoffs!!  Half of those losses are OAC vs. OAC.

It's about time they take more than 2 teams into the playoffs and you won't see blow outs in the national semifinals.  The best 2 or 3 teams in the nation are probably from the same conference.

Mount, Ohio Northern, John Carroll and Capital all would have won first round games this year!!

Lets step it up NCAA and give the OAC its due.  The Conference schedule is tougher than the national tournament.

Other than the virtual second automatic bid that the OAC gets almost every year, what are you looking for?

Can you arrange a bye to the Stagg? These preliminary playoff games are a nuisance!

NCAA is still posting:
Mount Union 42
Rowan 7

The NCAA is never wrong so lets take that score.

What I learned today from the Mt./Rowan game:

1. Rowan must have the tallest team over all in D3 football or D2.

2.  Rowan hits very hard.

3.  Mt. 's defense wins game ball today.

4. Mt. more precise in overall performance.

5.  Rowan really needed their best QB today.

6.  Mt. secondary stepped it up today although they were very undersized to Rowan's receivers.

7.  Stickley came to play.

8.  Joris off for the most part of the day.

9.  Kmic needed a rest.

10.  Mt. to be underdog for Stagg.

Just back from the game.  What a hard-fought, tough win for Mount.  What a defensive effort!  Stickley, and Buddy Wolf were animals today.

Offensively....ummm......eh.  I give credit to Rowan's D, but we seemed a bit off most of the day.  WE will have to be much better next week.

This is an awesome accomplishment for these guys.  11 semi's in a row, 9 wins, 7 Stagg Bowl victories and counting....   :)

WW gave up a short run for td, but on first play after kick-off, Stanley scores on 70 yard td catch (5 yard catch, 65 yard run), his third catch and td of the afternoon.

Good Luck Purple Raiders next week.  Listened to the game, hard fought and well deserved.

UMHB Cru mom...says....go get them!

First of all, why would John Carroll have won a first round game this year.  If I'm not mistaken, didn't MUC roll them to the tune of 70-0!  Second, I believe ONU was ineligible to participate in the playoffs??? ???  And Cap DID win a first round playoff game as well as a second round playoff game.  And we all know where MUC is headed.  Maybe you could think of another OAC team that could've won a 1st round playoff game, but the two that did are the only ones that could this year in the OAC IMHO.

I sent you the dispatch story in a message. Not sure if it worked or not though. Good luck today.
