Scotsfan:
JCU won 6 in a row after the Mount loss. They were a very good team with a good QB but started their OAC season against a MUC team that made no mistakes. ONU was eligible because they chose to appeal the earlier NCAA ruling. There is no doubt ONU could have won a playoff game if given the chance. JCU would have had a 50-50 shot.

UW-W 58 Wesley 6...MU you're next.   Good Luck!!

Another all-purple Stagg, but with two different teams.

My bad, I thought that ONU was ineligible.  I take that back then and would say that they would have had a good shot at winning a playoff game.  They did beat MUC after all.  I still wouldn't go as far as to say JCU was worthy of an at large bid though.

Great "D" on both sides of the ball today at MUC....Rowan's D IMO the best we have seen....pressure on Jorris all day kept him out of rythm, and good secondary work...a roughing the kicker and a missed assignment on Kmic out of the backfield were real crucial for MUC and really hurt Rowan.

Rowan head coach a class act in the press conference afterward...seems like a good man...but I've only heard him talk once for 10 minutes.

Stickley, Wells, Wolf all huge today, Gibbons broke season record for tackles...When asked about it postgame, he says, " No big deal the other record was in 10 games, and all I want is a Stagg Bowl win...

Losing Fehl in seconday was big...Watson still looks gimpy...pass rush and backup db's will be big big key to success.

Does Rowan receiver #17 do a lot of talking?  He and db's were at each other all day, and I have never seen that much at Mount..As a Mountie, I am glad we got the penalty against us for that...I hate to see that kind of stuff...thankfully Garcon has calmed down...

More slip screens called today than I can remember in one game....I thought Garcon could have taken one to the house (in front of visiting bleachers heading north) but he cut back for a small gain...

LK gave great credit to punter, with several good kicks into still wind....

Had JCU beaten BW by a fairly large margin, the argument could've been made.  I find it curious that you discuss ONU's win over Mount, but forget that JCU beat ONU by 25.  Anyway, congratulations to the Raiders.  See you in Salem.

Today, Wesley made hscoach's recent comment about the East seem like a very reasonable assessment.

Great "D" on both sides of the ball today!  Rowan was tall and fast and gave Mount's line all they could handle.

And the Raider "D" was just outstanding!

I think it's time to let Ibeh out of the doghouse and give him a few carries.  Mix that offensive play calling up a little more.

See y'all in Salem!!!! ;D
12-0 = 13

Anyone think that Kmic is being over used?

Take a peek at my link I posted in the NCAC board.  Apparently the folks at ESPN think Mount's Kmic plays for  Rowan .

LK said after the game that he had a lot of touches in HS. So he thinks the kid can handle it.
