If Kmic played for Delta HS, I can guarantee you he played every down in both directions.
Some of his high school senior year numbers:

1,681 rushing yards on 165 attempts
496 return yards
53  PAT's
1 Field Goal
65 tackles
Five interceptions  yet he often didn't play after the half. (He was probably working in the concession stand) ::)

Let's assume he can handle it.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Glad i could help but with a cheerleader's mom beside me it was just a bit difficult at times!!  OFF TO SALEM!!! The MOunt D delivered again, stepping up and basically slamming the door most the game with the exception of the long sideline pass getting Rowan to the 1 yd line.  Stickley...awesome!! and the secondary in general done a decent job on coverage even when they seemed outsized! Rowan proved why they have a highly ranked rush D , they have very quick pursuit both from DB's and along the LOS. COngrats Rowan on a fine season, with the injuries your team sustained throughout the season, you made one helluva run and have plenty to be proud of!!  PURPLE VS PURPLE !! ROLL RAIDERS
ROLL!!!

RiC,
heard about your statement, gotta like it!!! LOL

So who will win the third battle of purple...the Purple Raiders or the Fighting Barry Goldwaters?

jdean

It really doesn't matter, Toph. Some are saying the Nat'l Championship was played last week in Oregon. The game in Salem is just purple window dressing.

Yeah, I've seen that s**t as well - some teams just haven't been on top enough to know how to win graciously!  (As someone [Barry Sanders?] said about TD celebrations: act like you've been there before!)

I honestly don't know who I'll pick next week.  MUC has the tradition and a HELLUVA team.  WW counters with total domination of everyone except #1 (and defending champ) Linfield - they DESTROYED a VERY good SJU and a VERY hot Wesley.  This Stagg Bowl is looking like a classic.

JT

Funny I didn't think they gave out the trophy last week.

Good luck to Mount.  Man this is the first time I shared a room with my brother since 1999.  The snoring is soooo much worse.  Sounds like chainsaw.  Separate hotel rooms next time. >:(

Safe travels to Salem Mounties.

Great "D" on both sides of the ball today at MUC....Rowan's D IMO the best we have seen....

How soon we forget last week and Capital's "D."  I believe that many before this game were saying our D was the best MUC had faced all year?

I don't know anything about Rowan's D.  I know Cap has a pretty good D.  However I might go so far as to say that the best D MUC has faced all year is the one they go against in practice during the week.

Mr. Ypsi: To my knowledge, that quote was first said by Paul Brown to Bob Trumpy.

Results for the Semi's and the spread for the Stagg has been posted.

Not sure what to think of MUC's chances in the Stagg.  The defense has played very well all season but the offense (ie QB) has been so inconsistent it's hard to predict next week.  One week they look great, the next they struggle.   I do know one thing though, MUC will be focused and ready to play.  If Whitewater thinks the Stagg was won vs Linfield then they're in for a rude awakening.

GO MOUNT
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I guess I should have been clearer when asking if Kmic was being used too much. Obviously he can handle 40 rushes but by doing that does it make our offense predictable? It seemed that on a number of occasions Rowan played Kmic and he lost yardage.

Although there were times I wished Larry would have taken control of the offense, I was impressed that he let his younger coaches do their jobs. My personal kudos to Vince K who has answered the question: "What are we going to do without Monty?"

Hey, just keep hitting that smite button. I'm trying to get to -66 by gametime Saturday.

Kmic's running is predictible when we run the same play three times in a row.

Congrats to Mount on another trip to the Stagg Bowl.  And congrats to Rowan for getting this deep in the playoffs.  Their defense played pretty well, holding Mount to under 20 points for only the third time this year.  Headed to Salem on Thursday morning.  Stagg Bowl should be a great game.  Most intriguing matchup headed into this one for me is the tough and experienced Mount defensive line vs. the powerful Warhawk running game led by the nation's top rusher Justin Beaver.  Can't wait and good luck to both Mount Union and UW-Whitewater next week. And safe travels for anyone headed to the game.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

Congrats to the Purple Raiders on the big win today.  You guys just keep on rolling.  I hope the Stagg Bowl turns out to be a classic.

You're late.  I took that picture down about a month ago.  The ONU helmet has been proudly posted for quite some time so do cap99fan a favor and take that pic down.  It's killing him.

Toph

Noone mentioned the JCU victory over ONU because noone cares outside of University Heights/Ada since neither team made it to the dance.  The omission of the JCU/ONU game is about as curious as the fact that you haven't bragged about your week 11 results.  ;)

scotsfan

Thanks for doing your part to further alienate the NCAC from the OAC by arguing something petty like the fact that ONU couldn't have won a playoff game because they were ineligible (which was incorrect as you now know.)  His point was that if those teams were in the playoffs, that they would have had first round wins.  Rather than argue that they didn't have the talent/coaching/ability/etc. to win a first round game, you chose to focus on eligibility, thus totally neglecting and/or missing the point.  Oh and pointing out that two of his teams DID win first round games was very enlightening as well.  Thanks for playing.  If they shipped CAP or ONU to the east or south, they would have likely been playing in a semifinal as well.  I too would question JCU only because they lost two games to close the season and seemed down at the end but after nine weeks, they sure seemed deserving of a spot as well.
