Tez,
You must be my long lost twin brother!  We obviously think alike.  I too was hoping for a Mount vs Linfield game, but after watching WW win at the Catdome, WW earned a shot at the championship.  (Wesley was a statistical outlier from the East, which doesn't count.) Go Raiders!

Kirsadad,
Thanks for the link to Casto story.

70's,
Great quote!  Wave to the cameras this Saturday, so us TV fans will see ya.

Yeah, I was there as well. I'm not so sure that UWW "earned" a shot. Yes they did beat the 'Cats. But the 'Cats gave the game away (turn overs and mistakes) I know that's part of the game though. UWW destroyed Wesley. UWW is a good team but not the best.

I'd probably find it more ironic if the state legislature wasn't controlled by Republicans and the Presidential vote was greater than a 5000 vote difference. Heck, Republican Tommy Thompson would be on his 5th term as governor had he not left to be HHS Secretary.

I took the quiz. It said I needed to get out of the sun because I was looking a little RED.

I know as a Wisconsin resident, I would love for Milwaukee to be annexed by Illinios and become a northern suburb of Chicago.  That alone would turn the blue from the red where it really belongs.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Tez, if Whitewter wins, does that mean Linfield is still the #1 team in the country?

Turnovers are part of the game. They are better than Linfield or else they would have lost. Plus twice inside the five and no scores didn't help their cause. It's all in heinsight. Either way it'll be a great Stagg Bowl game.

skunks_sidekick

I just want everyone to know, I have petitioned the NCAA, D3football.com, and all other pollsters, to name Mount the #1 team always, and for all time.  I mean we Mount fans are so caught up in our tradition and history, it just makes sense for us to want that for our team.   ;D

So, from here on out, please refer to Mount Union as "the king of all that is D III football".

We myopic Mount fans appreciate it.  Until some other team wins seven (and quite possibly eight) Stagg Bowls, we get to keep the honor.

"I sometimes think that this should be called the Larry Kehres Bowl, rather than the Stagg Bowl," Whitewater coach Bob Berezowitz said.

I'd suggest that as well.   8)

YES!  That is also now part of my proposal.  See, even the WW coach sees the logic.   ;)

Thank God we at least have sense of humor on this board. Now that deserves applause.

They don't like us now, but they're gonna to hate us Saturday night.
