It never ceases to amaze me... why would someone come on this board and be bothered by what is written enough to respond. I don't like a lot of what Linfield and Whitewater were saying earlier in the week but I just stopped going to those boards and I certainly didn't post anything about it there.

As for the black jerseys I don't even know what year Mount got them, I'd have to think about it.  Maybe you can share that with us voice since you know.  You sound like a third grader, Mommy make Jimmy give it back I had it first.  For crying out loud who the heck cares? Why take things so personal?

Furthermore, I don't even like the black jerseys and wish they'd burn them.  I like Whitewater's a little more because they have numbers on the shoulder but I think purple numbers on black jerseys looks bad and I don't care for either.

And frankly voice if you want to talk about arrogance just go through the west region board from Saturday through Monday.  For crying out loud you haven't won anything yet but by reading what the posters have to say we might as well save our time and not even go to Salem.

Since you're here lets talk numbers.  Why are you're special teams numbers very unimpressive?  Please tell us what is so impressive about Jacobs.  After all his numbers are not.  You would have to go back a long way to find numbers like that for a starting QB at Mount Union?  How can he win conference offensive player of the year?  To me your RB should have won it, Jacobs can't be the offensive MVP of your team can he?  50% completion percentage in the playoffs is bad.  I don't think Whitewater can win without forcing a bunch of turnovers.  Just my opinion we shall see.  I know they're a great team and deserve to be there but so does Mount.  And I think Mount's last two playoff games were against better defenses than they will see Saturday.  Not saying Whitewaters isn't good, it is very good, I just will be surprised if they are as good as the last two I've see that's all.

So if you want to talk football lets talk, if you want to whine about arrogance save it, and you can have the black jerseys please!

There have been plenty of arrogant posting from both sides on the WIAC and OAC boards and anyone who thinks it is all one-sided needs to get glasses!! ;)

Don't get "bother" about it.   ;)

I took a course on non-western religions in college and I walked away pretty sure I ran over someone's dogma with my karma.

I saw the NCAA Championships commercial on Sportscenter this morning and there are plenty of shots from Mount's Stagg Bowl appearances.  It's pretty cool to see a montage with UCONN basketball, USC football and little old Mount Union.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

sorry, i just wanted to post on this board. Seventiesraider, the MUC players that were part of the seven championships, are they going to be on the field? No. I'm not saying tradition has nothing to do with it, but as much as you hype it up, MUC should win by 50.

seventiesraider

lilpeds on WIAC board - "As much as coaching experience has to do with it, though, tradition DOESN'T."

Pick a side and stay on it. Thanks for following me over here and making sure I read what you already posted on your board. Please, I'm trying to stay over here and play nice till game time. And it's killing me. :'(

Now I'm not saying Mount is going to win by 50 (70 is likely though), but many UWW posters seem to be downplaying the fact that Mount Union's coaching staff has been here before (many times) and has been very sucessful before (many times).  Beating Linfield was great, but UWW is far from out of the woods.

Sorry again seventiesraider, this is my last post on here. I know I'm the minority, I just wanted to dig in for a bit.

You're right about the tradition thing, I should choose a side. As much as the past is looked at, it doesn't mean anything when they are on the field. The coaching experience, however, is a big factor - that's obvious. That's a huge reason why I think the game is going to be so close.

One of Brez's comments in the paper was something like "I figured they would call it the Larry Kehres (sp) Bowl by becaue he's been there so much."

Toph, as in "many" you mean two or three, right? A lot of what I've been reading (yes, other than a certain few), is that both teams respect what each other has done. I see a lot of close scores as predictions as well. It goes both ways.

It has been great seeing both sides of the spectrum - UWW fans and MUC fans. As we are all diehard fans of our respected teams, I think it'll be a great matchup.

I just hope I don't get caught in this ice storm headed out there.  :-\

Did you mention 70 for any reason???? If there is one game I'd like Mount to repeat on Saturday it would be that awesome display they showed against your guys.

Ah, yes, 70 was a magical number this year!!!  Could not have happened to a better program.  GO JCU ;)

lilpeds-Be Safe. Obviously my experience leads me to a different conclusion.

And yes the JCU game was quite a tribute to my handle.

OK, I would like to retract any statement I made here, on the WIAC board or on the Daily Dose referring to MUC as the Underdogs.

I no longer think that Mount Union is the underdog. They are Seven Time National Champs and have been to the Semi Finals 11 straight years. UW-WW is a great time that has had a great run this year but until they beat the Champ (no offense to Linfield as the reigning champ) like St. Johns and UMHB did the past two years then I will not consider them as the favorites.

Go RAIDERS Beat warhawks!!!!!!

Anyone who thinks WW is, "out of the woods," would be crazy!!

No, this UWW program and team hasn't been there before but that could be said for everything this team has been through the last 4 weeks.  They've been on new ground for quite awhile now and nothing seem to phase them.  They keep their poise , they keep on winning and they will do the same on Saturday.  Coaching is definitely a factor  but Coach Brez has "been there before," when he was QB for the 1966 team that played for the NAIA Championship while, unfortunately, coming out on the losing side then before WW moved to the NCAA.  Hopefully, that experience will provided some help to the team and coaching staff.  Please don't jump on me saying that I am comparing the two coaches.  That is not true.  MUC coach is in a class of his own and has all my respect, just pointing out that atleast one WW coach has some experience with competing for a national title.

WOW, this is going to dig you in deep!  I wonder how the Linfield posters are going to feel about being told they are not the Defending National Champs, that it is Mt. Union.   I'm sure they won't take offense!! ;D ;D ;D

Ajwassup

Im going to the game on Saturday and I usually listen to the games on 91.1FM while at the game.  Is there a station (and what frequency) can i listen to the game while being in Salem?  I pretty sure i can not pick up Matt Mowery and 91.1FM.

GO RAIDERS!!!

and my prediction . . . .
MUC 27
