One thing LINFIELD was really watching out for was the
great hard count of Jacobs.

Nice stand MUC. Got to do it every time. WW suckered LINFIELD w/  a flair to Beaver on 3rd that got him 1 on 1 at the 4 yard line.

Mount KO--UWW returns to 42.  Beavers running ball again--1st down at Mount 35. Incomplete pass and Beavers stopped-3rd and 11. Pass caught inside the 10. Unbelievable stand by Mount. Take over on 3.
On 3rd down Kmic runs free 95 yds for a TD. 21-7 mount.

A D-lineman got his right hand on Kmic shoulder as he blew by and the closest guy to him for the next 96 yards was Pierre Garcon.  I don't know if Garcon was cheering or waving goodbye to Whitewater as he ran downfield with Kmic.

UWW returns KO and now has ball, 2 penalties, one is personal dead ball on Mount. UWW first down from Mount 40 and Beaver runs 10 for a 1D. Beautiful interception by Mount CB in endzone and he brings it out to the 18.

I might need to pull out my 2001 Stagg Bowl tape (versus Bridgewater), but I want to say that Kmic's run started, within inches, of Chuckie Moore's big run in that game.  The difference, as I recall, is that Moore's run was straight up the middle.
Either way...BEAUTIFUL!!!

And honestly...no BS here...I saw where the ball was spotted, and said to myself, "That is about where Moore ran it for a TD in the 2001 game...maybe Kmic can do the same."
And then....Looky there!

Mount is driving with the pass and run. 1st down pass to 19 with 3:20 in 3Q. 1st down pass to Kmic out of the backfield. 1st down on 3. Kmic TD--28-7. That was one powerful drive by Mount. 2:08 to go in 3Q.

To quote Curry:

"The first ball Garcon caught today was a little short ball like this one and he broke it back across the middle trying to make it into a long run and ended up with no gain.  I was critical of him.  Now that I've seen him run, I don't care what he does.  I don't think you coach a guy like that.  You let him run wherever he wants to."

He has also commented that Garcon looks like he should be playing in the SEC (where Curry coached for many years).

Reality Check -
I know that you are still in heaven.  They just showed highlights from the Pooh-bears (win) game!!!

UWW  took KO to 20. Beaver ran 15 for first down.  2 incomplete passes and a third thrown OOB on purpose.
UWW punts to mount 22 with 1:19 in 3Q--15 yd personal call on UWW on return moving it to 37. Mount lets 3Q clock run out--3rd and 4.

I guess Rowan isn't too shabby, they shut Garcon down.  Great game today for the Raiders.

Maybe the East ain't so bad after all.  Just imagine if Orihel, Encarnacion and Bond weren't hurt.
