Not only did they win, but Larry has a lot of fodder about easing up for the youngsters next year.

That last quarter took so long that my champagne froze!

Never saw Larry so emotional during a game before ... this wll be his new favorite.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

The best line of the year: "USC is the Mount Union of Division I football..."

This one said by the halftime show hosts during the Stagg Bowl while discussing USC and their chances for a 3rd straight Championship.

Congrats to the Raiders for yet another title!

That was one of the sweetest MUC Stagg wins!

I agree that the ESPN announcer duo did D3 football well.  Not perfect, but respectfully well.
I had so many people from work, and those that know me casually/socially watching...who never normally would tune in a D3 championship game...that my phone kept ringing after every score/big play.  (At karaoke last night, in my Mount Union apparel, I spent most of my "Frosty the Snowman" selection touting this game.)
Thank you Purple Raiders!!!

Now, off to a Christmas party.  Is a purple shirt and purple MUC tie, with purple Santa hat too much????

Enjoy your victory, but remember, Santa Claus does NOT wear purple.

OUTSTANDING BALANCE today!  Great composure.  Hope all have safe travels.  Time for a celebration dinner!  Should be some good smack on here later 8)

Congratulations to the Raiders and thanks for ending the "championship was played between Linfield and Whitewater in the quarterfinals" talk. The best team came out of the North region. As a matter of fact, given the loss to Ohio Northern and Capital's playoff performance, you could make the argument that the toughest region was the OAC. Congrats again on #8.

Also kudos to Whitewater on a terrific season. It sounds like they have a ton of underclassmen and should be awfully good next year. Hopefully, their fans have gained a little respect for what MUC has accomplished.

Congrats Purple Raiders and fans on your EIGHTH championship.  Well deserved!

reality check:

Congratulations to Wes Hostetler from ONU for his performance today in the Aztec--he was outstanding and more than deserved the MVP award for the USA side.  You and other Polar Bear fans have to be very proud!

BashDad

MUC/OAC folks.  Congratulations on the Stagg Bowl win.  Great win, and it wasn't as close as the score indicated.
I  watched the Stagg with the sound down so I could listen to the Aztec Bowl.  The Raiders were clearly the better team on the screen that I watched.  Again, congrats on a fine finish to an another excellent year.

Not only are the Polar Bears proud but so is the OAC. How did Russ do? I can't find any stats from the game.

great game on espn2. congrats raiders for a well deserved title!! you brought the trophy back to the north where it belongs and to alliance where we all hope to wrestle it away one day. superb performance by garcon, kmic and the raider d. LK was jumpin around more than i have ever seen for sure.

BillyRayJimBob

Since ESPN2 had to cut to some non-descript basketball game as soon as the greatest bowl game known to (but not created by) mankind was over, who was the "Player of the Game?" I would assume Kmic by a 60-40 vote over Chef Pierre, but you never know.

Christmas is purple at my house, and if Santa ain't wearing it, there are going to be some disappointed kids on his route after my house!

Cap99Fan

I would have to say Santa wears Purple at my house. If not he would be shot on site ;D.
