Kmic was named Most Outstanding Player.

Congrats to the Purple Raiders on your 8th title. Larry Kehres never fails to amaze.......losing key coaches in the off-season and a relatively young team and he still finds a way to get it done.  Great job and good luck in 2006.

I was reviewing a few pre-game comments made by fans from the front page links over the past week. The only ones (yes, more than one) for being the worst came from Iknowitall!! I think it was his/her last post where he/she said it would be 38-7 if UWW showed mercy and 65-7 if they really want to rub it in. His judgements and comments about the OAC, MUC and UWW were all dead wrong. The sad thing--he/she probably still thinks he knows it all.

Iknowitall must be a special admit

Cap99Fan...  EXACTLY!!!!  Purple has been a part of my Christmas decor for years!  And the MUC football banner has been up (outside) since September....in Louisiana (where the extremely privileged...and greatly indebted...neighbors go "Huh?").  This year, it is likely to stay until, well, this time next year...and beyond.  After all, Jorris, Garcon, Kmic, Robinson...just to name a few...are all back!

gordo - Thanks.  Has a true Freshman won this before?

"Kmic was named Most Outstanding Player."

What on outstanging game for a small town freshman who wasn't even in the preseason media guide.  :D. Well deserved!!!

I don't know what anyone else thought but I thought going for it on 4th down at the three instead of kicking a field goal was a bad call. I said we they lined up to go, it was a dumb call and when thet missed I though look out now cause Mount is going to put it away. Two plays later SEE YA Kmic goes for 93.

Where is that guy (in the Daily Dose), trying be "cute," who kept calling MUC, "Mt. Onion???"
Crying right now, I suppose...and it ain't from the onions!!!

After the 28-7 lead, I was ready to call the Warhawks the UW-"Whitewash."  But that would not have been nice (or really accurate).

With respect to this year's D3 playoffs...

Cortland State.

Yes, I said "Cortland State."

Why is that insignificant "trivia?"

I bet Reality Check knows right away, or he ain't the Fricker's chicken wing eating Pooh-bear that I know him to be!

Yes, I am off to that Christmas party now...will check back tomorrow.

Like I said...  Cortland State,.

JT

Someone needs to elaborate on Cortland St.

I'm sure you and your 8 yr old are bouncing off the roof of the car about now. Aren't you glad you found the time and the way to go and the smarts to take Jr.?
What a game to watch. If only 66 was here to write about this one. Didn't get a bellyache from too many brownies, did you?

Being a player, or coach at MUC is like playing the game "king of the hill",,you are on top and have to take on all the rest . Muc's PROGRAM,showed today why it is the best. MUC does not win it all but it is the total progam that shines thru. The strength program , the 6:ooam plyo's, the off season running, the recruiting,,,these are all part of what MUC A GREAT program, and today showed that they are also the BEST TEAM. The key ingrediants of the program are LK, a  knowledgeable , dedicated staff of coaches, and players that are willing to work hard, prepare themselves ,,and play the game the way they are coached .

I have a DVD copy of the title game today.  I don't have much use for it so if there is someone that wants it, drop me a PM and I'll drop it in the mail.

Amen beenhit2hard.

Thanks to ONU for beating Mounts butt and waking the sleeping giant. And thanks also to Cap and Rowan for great pre-final battles. I think Mount needed both of those to get tuned up for today.

RC:
You are a double winner today. As the only team to beat Mount, you are now #2 (alright UWW, Linfield, Rowan guys--just having some OAC fun). Also congrats on the Aztec Bowl Poo Bear one man show.

JK

Congrats to the raiders on #8.

Maybe this will put the OAC-WIAC discussions to bed for a while.

Maybe it will shut up some of the UWWW fans as well.  There were quite a few who ran their mouth all week and offered assinine predictions of WW blowouts.  That's the first time in a few years that I remember such mouthy fans.  I guess we'll chalk it up to them being "first timers."

Great game.

Early OAC predictions for next season:

MUC: Core of skill guys returns from Natl Champ
ONU: Nice group of guys returning from only team to beat the champs.
CAP: Rocky and the Hauslers return to make a nice core on both sides of the ball.  Mulkey isn't much of a step down from O'Rielly.  Need to find some receivers and LBs
OTT: Up and comers take another step??
JCU: Losing Phillips hurts them.  Tradition will keep them in the fight.  Could go anywhere from 3rd to 5th.
MAR: Pretty solid middle of the conference team
BW: Maybe with a few breaks they might start another "streak of mediocrity."
MUSK: Perhaps they will discover the forward pass next year?
WIL: Better than the Berg
HEI: Will they win a game???

How long until camps open???

Congradulations to the Mount Union football community and fans.  The best D-3 program for the past 15 years. You fans are class acts and your coach and team are also class acts.  I have been to the Mount Union football field for a win and a loss.  The fans were alway a class act.......even this year when I wore my "we broke the streak" tee shirt over my Glassboro State wool stadium coat which I had the word "Rowan" sewed on underneath Glassboro State on the back of the coat.  See what a hundred million dollar donation can do?

You didn't score that many points on our Defense last week.  I thought we could have won the game if we scored 21 points last week.  We just couldn't get it done against your defense last week.

Hopefully next year we have our two time all conference quarterback healthy.  Hope we also have one of our top three running backs able to play through the playoffs next year.  The Rowan player in the wheel chair was our number one running back
until his leg was broken at Union College in the snow. (he now has two metal bars in his leg) His replacement for the remainder of the playoffs had a cracked rib.

And maybe our All American defensive lineman (Tood Trout) could have stopped Kiemic a few times and got a sack or two.

You have a great tradition, great program, and a great team.  However, we have you in our cross hairs until we take you out in the playoffs or the Stagg Bowl.  Hope to see you all next season at some football field in the quest for the National Championship.

P.S.  Donald Trump is not going to ask Kiemic to go through the Apprentice program.  He is going to be offered a $3,000,000 no cut clause contract to be a Greeter at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey for his sophmore, Junior and Senior year.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas (politically correct Happy Holidays) and best of health for the New Year.

I now have to put together Divorced Barbee's finacial plan..In the divorce she got Ken's house, vacation condo, ski condo, Ken's car, Ken's bank accounts, half of Ken's 401k, Ken's gold coin collection and she gets a check every other week until she remarries.

What a lucky gal.
