Josh McDaniels:
I came on to see if anybody had posted the news and they have, but here's another bit of his bio from the Pats site:

They're going to have to start calling the OAC "the cradle of coaches."

I think a small college outside of the OAC has beaten you to the punch from a current standpoint.

I had basketball last night and only got to see the first few minutes and the last ten of the Hula Bowl. Saw Wes handle a kick early. Anybody who suffered through the whole three hours fill me in on how he did. Can't find any stats on the web today. Thanks :)

RC, where are you???
I am drinking homemade Sangria from a Fricker's "Frickin' Beer" glass in respect to you, and in prep for Mr. Robertson's game.  Of course, I am wearing two MUC football/championship T-shirts and a Raiders hat!
Cheers!

Wes played well in the Hula Bowl.  Did not make any big mistakes.  Handled all of his punts and kickoffs well.  Drew a 15 yard kick catch interference, had a tackle on kickoff coverage, took a shot on a punt return from a LB from Texas, covered well as a CB.  Not an extremely impressive day but a solid day.

Reality,

Nice to see Jamal Robertson get some PT to show what he can do yesterday.  Maybe he'll get a more serious look from the Panthers for next season with Foster's broken ankle.

While watching him I couldnt help but think of this game. I have told several people that after this game I remember thinking our defense did a nice job of not letting him run wild.  Turns out I either didnt watch the game or it was a quiet 287 yards.

I saw him get run over on a punt return toward the end of the third quarter.  His team did get yards for a penalty on that play.  But it was not a revisitation of the Aztec Bowl.  I would have loved to have seen that!!I, too missed the first 1/2 of the ball game and got about 1/3 of the third quarter and all of the 4th quarter.  Oh well,  our basketball team did manage to win ad I wasn't sure they would.

Having a debate about the best defensive team ever at Mount.I'd say 2005,1997,1993,1995,1992 in  that order.Anyone care to list their top five?

Looking forward to seeing a lot of you Tuesday night at the Raider Recognition Rally. They'd probably frown on us setting up grills in the Campus Center parking lot. Don't worry Olinemom, I got the pictures ready and 70'sWife will be taking them through the line. I'll still have to screw up the courage to ask Larry Kehres to autograph that picture for you. I've known him since I was 19, but I still stand in awe of him and his accomplishments. :-*

I fell out of my chair when I read this! A quiet 287? 525 yards total offense. Swearigan and Co. had no answer for us that day. Franser threw 3 INT's and CAP scored 25 in the 4th mostly on the 2's to make it a ballgame. I guess you weren't watching the game.

Afterthoughts from the NFC Champioship Game- Jamal entered the game in the second quarter and carried the ball 5 times. He also tied Smith for most receptions with 5. Jamal played well enough to get a shot from a team without 5 HB on the roster.

Like I said it just seemed like a typical Jamal Robertson effort.
