Pat:  RC only did that to save us Mounties the joy of hobbling him first ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Glad to see that you honest about your college, but I think there might be others that do it and havn't been caught yet.

Reality,

Looks like Jim Place is gone after 15 years at CJ.  He took the head gig at Hamilton High School this past week.

Sounds like he's done alot off the field for CJ as well...

Maybe Badin can beat the Eagles now..

I was home last weekend and heard all about it.  I am sad to see Coach Place go but I know he has to take care of himself and his family.  He has 22 years of public school experience and I know Hamilton used the fact he only needs three more for full retirement in trying to hook him.  The interesting point that I read in the DDN is that he will have an apt. or hotel room three nights a week or so to maintain a presence in the community.  I guess that was big for the Hamilton administrators.  It sounds like he's leaving on good terms.  It's not like he was at CJ forever.  He obviously has more experience at large than he has had at CJ.  My sophomore year he attempted to retire but spent a few months looking for a replacement and wasn't happy with what he was finding so he came back.  That was coming off of a 2-8 year and since then he has gone to seven playoffs and won a state title.  CJ will miss him but I understand the move and wish him the best.  He's beat enough teams at Hamilton's stadium over the years that it probably seems like its already his homefield.   ;)

I would conservatively say that 75% of the programs could be found guilty of infractions if they were put under a fine enough microscope.

Just an FYI for those who don't cruise around the other boards that much, there is a board open right now to vote and express your feelings as to what other D3 sport you might want to see represented  here. Got my preferences but I already voted so I'll be quiet. :-*

Hard to believe that grown people running with berry baskets on sticks is winning. I haven't been able to say the name of that game since '92. ::) ::)

kirasdad is just depressed because it was such a boring Super Bowl. ;D  But hey, we have Arena Football starting so we are not out at all, and the Pro Bowl as you mention.

The most exciting things about that Super Bowl were  A: The Rolling Stones and B; Arguing with the people around you about the officiating.

The Stones have never been on my A list, but the thought of watching the Brits performing without their walkers was too much for me.
The Steelers are definitely not on my A (B, C or D) list but I thought it was a good game and I thought the stripes did a good job. Am I going to live long enough to see the Browns in a Super Bowl? Probably not but thankfully we have the Raiders to watch for our own little D3 super bowl.

I can't get into watching that game.

But, I forgot that the AIFL is starting up soon. We can take bets on if the Canton Legends can make their payroll this year or not. :)
