Bluestar is dad, not player.  And you're right, it wasn't hard to look up at all.

Rumors were that he's very intense, encouraged fighting in practice etc.

Encouraging Fighting in practice?  I doubt it.  This guy is a UWEC former player and coach, so I suspect that the BlueGolds have more history with him than Marietta does.
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

Kirasdad:  Congrats on post 666.  Hope that's not an omen........
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

HScoach-- It's only an omen if he attends any games in person ;)

KIRASDAD--  Not even YOU can JINX us on the 6th game of the 2006 season when we are up 6 to 0!   PLEASE attend that game 8)

That ain't right!  Just because the last two games I have seen in person are ONU 2005, and Mary Hardin Baylor of 2004, doesn't mean you gotta bring a brother down!

Somehow I feeling slightly better that I've missed the last three Mount Union losses. :P

So how is the track season going?  Hopefully the brownies were used as fuel to get you going on some of those long days!!  Oh, and my Jermaine has done really well in Europe.  I wish I had Direct TV so I could see him, but that's the way it goes.  Hope all is well.  I give you Karma every time I'm on d3football.com and I check this site every time I'm on.   :) :) Is Kevin having a nice spring?  I'm h eading for Chapel Hill for this weekends series between Florida State --UNC in baseball.  I cheer for FSU as I hosted one of their players during a summer when he was playing in one of the NCAA sanctioned wooden bat leagues.  But it's not football.  Can't wait for that to start up again.  Just got 2 more pictures from Ace.  Wonderful photos autographed and everything.  You all are so good to me!!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Perhaps the best Purples backfield was the 2000 Gary Smeck,Dan Pugh,Chuck Moore unit with Adam Marino at flanker. The 2006 unit will be Mike Jorris,Nate Kmic,Aaron Robinson and Pierre Garson at flanker. Are we loaded or what?I believe the 2000 Mount Union offense was the best in the history of the OAC(and therefore the nation),but...incredible as it is ..the 2006 offense could be as good or better.Looking forward to playing several great OAC teams this year, especially ONU.

Averett has a nice football website that includes 2 videos of their O and D lines in action. (my guess would be from last year) not sure how that equates into who on those clips will be playing this year. They have included the Mount Game on their wallpaper which looks pretty cool.

Averett appears to be a program on the rise, albeit in the USA-South.  I was at Langley AFB, Virginia, from '99-02, during which time Christopher Newport first fielded a team, so I took some interest in their conference, and still kinda follow it today.  I remember, at that time, Averett was a cakewalk game for most teams.  Now it is a quite different story.

And you have to give Averett credit with respect to their non-conference schedule...  Home against Mount Union and then on the road against Wesley (12-2 last year, including playoff wins over UMHB and Bridgewater, VA).  Kinda like Averett going from the fire (MUC) into the frying pan (Wesley)!

BRJB-- I would have given my left nut to be stationed at Langley, instead of Laughlin AFB in Del Rio Texas. Averett's coaches deserve a lot of credit for what they have accomplished, as well as the kids buying into that program.  I also give the coaches credit for matching them with Mount and Wesley. Playing a defending National Champ should be Exhilarating and SCARY as **** at the same time ;D  As for the game against Wesley, I wonder if Wesley has healed from that 58-6 thumpin they took from UW Whitewater yet ?

Hard to paint a masterpiece with three crayons ;D I have a lot of young kids and it will be as good as my marginal teaching skills will make it. Kev and I thank you for the grub, far more tastey than those e-brownies. One week till spring break-Eight weeks till summer(but whose counting) Wish I could sneak away and see some spring drills. Looking forward to a Labor Day weekend mini vacation in southern Va

Fun comment - you get a karma for that! ;D  However, you'd be surprised what you can do with crayons - really.  In all seriousness, good luck in your spring season - hope your team does well.  Like you (and probably everyone else of our fb posting colleagues, I am looking forward to August and fb, and including some vacation time around then, too).  It will be here before we all know, it although I hope you and everyone enjoy the time before then.
