ah-- the ole b4u blew/screwed/smoozed/boozed, with the exception of the (blew) or (blow), guilty as charged ;) The wife thinks our beloved Post Patterns is not worthy of her participation in any way shape or form. That such things are for mere idlers and malinggerers.{pronounced ma-ling-ger-ers} nevertheless, she is very proud to have a son who participates in the subject we all post about. Her wardrobe reflects this as well.  As far as whipping my butt?  I still choose which wine we consume, she dictates when it will be uncorked 8)       PS- I appologize for the inbread bear comment, it's not as funny without banjo music in the backround ;D

Speaking of building programs, here's one for all you Bengals fans out there.  Looks like Marv is bringing in some classy kids down on the river:

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A.J. Nicholson and another former Florida State football player are charged with breaking into the apartment of Seminoles running back Lorenzo Booker and stealing about $1,700 in electronic equipment, Tallahassee police said Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Nicholson, a linebacker drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in April, was being sought in Ohio, said police spokesman John T. Newland.

Nicholson is the second Bengals player arrested in the last five months. Receiver Chris Henry, a rookie last season, is awaiting an August trial on a gun charge in Orlando.

I find it interesting that they are both from Florida (although Chris Henry played at West Virginia).

However, just to be fair to the Bengals, I also noticed that Santonio Holmes, formerly of OSU and now a Steeler, but also a Florida kid, was arrested last week:

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes was arrested for disorderly conduct at a hotel in South Beach, police said Saturday.

The events leading to Holmes' arrest weren't released by police.

It seems the moral of the story is that Florida kids are thugs...

(sorry B4!)  ;D

I know that this is a week or so old but Reuben Droughns and the Browns aren't doing much better:

JK-- No appologies expected or excepted here! The kids from this part of FL. including Dante Cullpepper, are from a different world.  You would have to live here to understand and maybe you have. Middle FL kids are considered farm boys.  They have been to places such as WPB or West Palm, Boca, Naples, Daytona, Jax, or Destin on their (vacations)  The kids that currently visit D-3 schools are kids whose parents can afford it and fell short of other endevors{ or the kids had other ideas} lets be honest} Central FL is a Mecca of untapped wealth and will be tapped because of people like Pat and word of mouth which travels much faster at every Spring Break in FL than U or I can comprehend. We reside in the ( Now ) ( Horse Capital of the World! and The Largest Single Site Developers in the Nation, who develope and provide work for one of the best Charter school systems in the Nation.  The kids you refer to are not from this local or have the opportunities D-3 presents to.  Demographics and Opportunity within the state of Florida will dictate who and where D-3 pursues, now and in the future. If your rebuttle is Garcon, I will counter that with my son and others. Thugs-- NO (ask RIC) talented?-- time has and will prove in the future!  8) "The Very Near Future" B4

2 1/2 months to see what special gifts Santa is bringing from the South pole.

Further proof for my "Florida kids are thugs" theory:

I know this is an old story, but here is the latest.  Another NFL player with ties to FLA in trouble (of course we shouldn't be surprised about this one because Taylor is from the "U"):

MIAMI (AP) - Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor reached an agreement with prosecutors to drop felony charges against him and pleaded no contest Thursday to two misdemeanors in an assault case, avoiding any jail time that might have derailed his NFL career.

No doubt the "U" has suffered from the same thug ratio as all of the big schools in FL. To paint the whole state as "thugville", may be too broad a brush. That's from a guy who's family HAD to move out of Detroit durring the riots in the 60's :-\

b4uknewit

JK-- It appears even Wabash is tapping into one of the Florida "thugvilles"  ;D

There probably is nobody on this board who gives a crap about this news but then no one except B4u seems to be posting anything so until something better comes along: The Head Coach at Linfield is moving up to D1 Oregon (or is that moving down?) as asst HC.

jdean:  My first thought when I saw the headline on the front page was "crap, now the Wildcats will have an excuse when they get drilled by MUC".  Assuming I actually get the match up I've been hoping for  ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

reality check

So last night the Connecticut news stations were giving kudos to the high school athletic asociation for coming up with such a great mercy rule for football this fall.  Just thought a follow-up showing how screwed up this state really is was in order.

At least the fact that the Hartford Courant online poll is 68% against the 50 point rule allows me to believe there is still intelligent life east of Pittsburgh ( at least RC and Pat) ::)
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Pat Coleman

Thanks for considering me. Just a reminder, too, that I'm a closer drive to Ohio than Connecticut. :)

I still think your comment was pretty presumptuous seventies.  I can't speak for Pat but I'll gladly take the compliment (albeit misguided).

Mighty impressive 06 pre-season preview on MU's website. Can any OAC team match-up with the Raiders?
