Capital got two media first place votes and one coaches first place vote.

Mount is a force to be rekoned (sp?) with, but they do not get as much respect around the nation, at least in my opinion.  At the Aztec Bowl last year, Wes Hoestetler and myself were the only two that had picked Mount to win the National Championship, everyone else had Wisc. Whitewater, even guys that lost to Mount in the Playoffs.  Needless to say, that day Mount won the national championship, USA beat the Mexicans, Wes got MVP, and I got spit on 15 times and punched about 12 times throughout the game.

No matter the final standings, I think that the top 3 teams in the OAC could make it to the Semi's or the finals 4 out of every 5 years.

Jdean:  I think BW will suprise some people with a more improved offense this year. Snell has handed over the O Coordinator reigns to the former OC at Kenyon.

It's normally not an upgrade to get help from Kenyon but in this case, I think the offense could use a spark at BW.  I wonder when BW was picked this low in the coaches' poll to start the season.

I hope you stick around this year.  BW hasn't had much support since the departure of BWDad.

Well, that answers the "who will Kehres vote for" question.

Let me also welcome BWDE97 to the fold.  It's nice to have someone from BW around.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Hey. I am new to this site so I dont know how things go.

Anyways...

As an incoming runningback for a team in the OAC, I was wondering if you could help me out with something. Camps start soon and want to know if a few numbers look good on paper. I feel as if I could get a lot of playingtime but I am not sure. I dont know how the OAC is with speed, power and etc... of the current players... anyways...

Height: 5'10
Weight: 200

1 Rep
Height:
Squat: 445
Power Clean: 260

40: 4.58 & 4.63 (Hand Time on Tartan Track)
Pro Agility: 4.32
Vertical: 28 1/2

Coming out of HS I thought I could play Division II but this perticular DIII school made me want to play at the DIII level... Just let me know how these numbers look @ the OAC Level...

This should be good..................

I'm betting on RC to be the first to educate Mr. DQ22

You prefaced with the fact that you don't know how this board works and you're new here.  So here's my advice:

Let this be the last post you make while associated with a football program in the OAC.  You certainly don't want to get to camp having coaches pissed at you for posting on here.  I am sure Coach Wulf is like every other head coach and wants his players nowhere near Post Patterns.  You're lucky that the Quakers haven't posted a roster with incoming freshmen yet or you'd be publicly identified.  I am sure the Quaker coaches check Post Patterns so you don't want to be on here saying anything that can put you in hot water.

I am sure they won't be mad as you don't necessarily know any better but as long as you plan to be a Quaker, steer clear of this page.  If you want to read what all of us are spouting off about, that's fine.  As long as you're suiting up in the OAC though, avoid posting anything.  Guys have gotten dismissed for doing so.

Now as far as numbers go, I don't honestly know what to tell you.  Your numbers seem nice and all but we don't usually go number crazy in the OAC when it comes to strength and conditioning.  Just practice hard and learn your program's system.  If you do the right things on the field, you might be talked about on here by all of the old-timers in no-time.  Let it be your actions on the OAC field and not your posting on this website that makes us take notice and remember you.  You picked a good program to potentially break into.  Wilmington only had 4 rushing TD's as a team and the leading rusher finished with under 300 yards on the season so the door seems to be open.  Work hard.  Be humble.  Do your best to earn some touches.

Good luck and enjoy your first college camp.  My experience was that camp was less physically demanding than anything I encountered in high school but it was one of the most mentally draining experiences I have ever had.  Work hard and good luck.

DubQuake22 -
My advice is to stick to the training table and avoid Fricker's (if you can easily get to one from Wilmington).  The wings make you wise, but oh so soft and gentle, over time, as RC has demonstrated.

RC- To answer your question in advance...  Rum and Coke; I am on "leave" the next two days.

Cheers!

Nice BillyRay.

The alcohol always brings you out from whatever cave you claim to be looking for Osama in.  Enjoy the booze and "leave".  I'm sure the moonshine is good down there.

OUCH!, RC!!  I'm gonna need one of those little round Bandaids like someone might use when they get a zit that won't heal!!!
When you heading out to the Southwest?

At least Shreveport will have a D3 versus D3 game in the Independence Bowl this season.  If there was really "moonshine" (perhaps expedited to the area from southern Arkansas in the back of a 1965 Ford Galaxy 500), it would be free at the gates!

I guess--if you look really close--that last one is a Warhawk--the uniform looks suspiciously like a Raider, so I assumed that it was one of us from earlier in the playoffs.  Especially since it looks, at first glance, like Kmic's jersey number.

Guess we have to share a little of the glory.

Can't you tell....that is the, "Beav!"  The player that ran for more yards than any other NCAA running back at any level in 05!   ;)

Goal Line Stand

My guess is, he would trade that distinction in a heart beat for a few more TD's that would have made him a National Champion on that cold day in December!  ;D ;D

Where's the RC that we've all grown to love over the years?
1.  Has someone taken over your computer?
2.  Or are you just getting soft in your old age?
3.  Or do you have pitty on young Mr. Wilma because it's Wilma?

I'm betting on #2 ;D
