Yeah!  We have a Pioneer on board.

WELCOME.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I had my first taste of politically correct football last night and hated it (The kids wern't very happy either). My youth football team scored four quick touchdowns and at 2:00 into the second quarter the ref's invoked the 24 point rule, meaning we were on defense until the other team scored, which never happened. Despite three fumble recoveries and an interception we had to keep giving the ball back. Granted we got a lot of good defensive work, but I'm with the kids on this one: "This is stupid"
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Who was the last Pioneer?  Wasn't his name Go Pios or something to that effect?

Just noticed on the Capital website that Kyle Hausler has a broken foot ....hopefully he will return for the tough stretch of games in Oct.

Somebody is peddling Mike Hallet's 1992 OAC Champs ring on Ebay. Guess he liked the 1993 one better ::) For only $399.00 you can have the biggest ring in your neighborhood.

I did not know LK had left MUC. The Ebay ad reads: "Just a note, I'm told by a helpful eBayer that this ring belonged to the fella who now serves as head coach at Mt. Union, who returned to serve in that role a couple of years ago.  In his playing days, he was an All-American and considered one of the best players in the country."

RIP MUC57 - Go Everybody!

The description also calls them the Mount Union Red Raiders...

Now if only the OAC could invoke a rule like that for Mount's opponents...   ;D

The results would probably be the same too! LOL.

I can just hear Regis Scafe now "This is stupid!"
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Never can understand why after one team beats another, the rankings don't support it.

Examples: BW & Auggie.  Springfield & Union.  Any others this year yet?

Seems obvious to me that the voters think that if they played ten more times that Augie would win more than 5 of the ten meetings?  Maybe some of the voters don't think that the game was anything more than BW playing above themselves or Augies playing below.  It is not like either Union or Agugustana got blown out.  They were a one score and a 10 point difference in the two games.

If Augustana and BW were to be playing this week in the OAC pick ems and the line was even I would have a hard time picjking against Augustana.

Even the Browns win a few games here and there, does that make them better than the team they beat?  Better on that day, perhaps, but a better team...not necessarily.

Finally...

Back on the internet.

A formal thank you to those misguided souls for putting me into the century club for karma while I was moving west.  We finally have internet and the dish up and running.  I am trying Sunday Ticket for the first time and decided to skip the college package since my Sunday Ticket also gives me ESPNU.  I should be sitting pretty watching my sports out here since I'll be so far from my Ohio roots.

More to come I'm sure as I settle in here in Arizona.
