Mt. wins seventy something to 14.  Radio Ric said that otterbien was covering Garcon one on one.  I too find that hard to believe.

Uh, did you read my post from 3 minutes prior to yours?

Uh, Apparently not.

From the Mount Union website

"The Purple Raiders (2-0, 1-0 OAC) struck quickly and often with all three phases of the team being involved. In fact, with just over 13 minutes to go in the second quarter, the Purple Raider offense had run just five offensive plays but Mount Union led 34-7."

Thats just sick

kirispa  when I posted yours was not on the board.   If it had been I would  have used it.  Does it really matter what the exact score was when you lay seventy something on some one?  But since you called me on it I felt oblicated to respond.  You have a nice week.

Good to see the spreads are biting back..........

Milikin +6.5 anyone?  Yup.  Got me too.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Sounds like BW is much improved this year to give Marietta such a run into overtime.  Thought Etta was supposed to be pretty tough this year.  Good showing.  What are the chances BW begins a new streak?  This conference is a meat grinder, but does BW give one the big three rock trolls a run for their money this year?

Very strange game at Otterbein last night.  MUC scored at will with multiple TD's coming on 1 or 2 play drives, but gave up 225 yards passing in the first half which LK can't be very happy with.  And the MUC running game was nonexistant in the first half as well.

After listening to another rout by MUC and seeing the other scores in D3 I wonder why some schools even have a football program?  ;D

Sitting in the visitors stands right behind Mount's bench, I had the impression that LK was not very pleased for most of the evening.  How can you watch a team win 71 to 14 and walk away thinking they did not play well?  I don't know, but that's how it looked to me.

This team has so much talent that OTT. just did not have a hope.

12-0 = 13

reality check

With ONU winning convincingly and Linfield and Delaware Valley losing, it is probable that ONU moves up to at least 11th in the D3football.com poll.  Bridgewater needed OT to win so maybe ONU cracks the top 10.

How nice would it be to have three teams in the OAC in the top ten nationally?

No coach is ever happy if their athletes do less than their very best. There were some dumb mistakes, missed assignments and sloppy play that I'm sure Larry isn't happy with, anyway there is always room for improvement (or replacement) and plenty of games left to do it in. I hope Coach Tressel wasn't real happy with his team yesterday either.

great game at Marietta last night, one of the best college games I have seen.  Etta dug itself a deep hole with two fumbles on there 5 that B-W scored from and fought back.  Tuff few games for Marietta coming up in Columbus.  Will see what they are made of. A little on 4 year senior starters on this squad.  I have to say this the Q.B. had a great game

Not having seen the boxscore and not so intrigued by any Cincinatti Bearcat football after their opening against Pitt I believe, assuming The Buckeyes won.  Was expecting Youngstown to knock off JoePA.

All in all if Oberlin is the last team from the state of Ohio to beat Ohio State then gravity must still hold.

Well....evidently OTT's climb up the OAC ladder is missing a few rungs.  They stunk!  BW's loss to Marietta signifies....ummm....they are......maybe the fire isn't out after all...the pile still flames at some level.   ;D

I think the OAC should have three teams in the top 10.  The Mount/CAP/ONU matchups should be epic this year.  Can either CAP or ONU stop Mount's offense?  Is Mount's D up to the task of stopping CAP's offense?  Time will tell.  NO stumbles by any until then.

By the way, the BROWNS suck!   >:(
