Under Mount Unions new top secret Daze and Confuse Offense it is entirely possible that Zimmerman had 3 carries and Kostelnik had 1 too.   ;However ...Jorris making 2 tackles ;D.....only if his mother was the spotter for the statistician!

To all you Ohio region posters:
Sad and unfortunate (but deserved) ending today for Claurett who was sentenced to a minimum of 3 1/2 (maximum 7) years in prison in a plea bargin deal (he changed his not guilty to guilty and avoided a trial).  It is a very sad situation, however, he has no one to blame but himself (and in-part his mom/family) - he brought this on himself.  As a troubled man, I hope he gets some help and can make something of himself in future years - I will pray for him and hope many of you others do the same.

I don't think there is anything sad about it.  This kid (man) got more chances  than anyone in any other position could have dreamed of and he blew it.  I am not sad at all.

I agree with you in that he got what he deserved.  However, from a human compassion aspect, it is indeed sad.

I generally don't get too overwhelmed by game stats but this one statline for Mount last weekend is unbelievable.

MUC scores 27 points in the first quarter yet ends up with only 1:40 in time of posession???

Also Mount's defense giving up -25 yards rushing this season is also pretty scary.

glad you noticed those stats too.  Another note, was glad to hear Ric back at the mic as well!

Due to the teams in Columbia, SC having to share fields my team plays a Thursday night game in a few weeks.  Just so happens to be Capital's homecoming weekend.  Might make my first Capital Homecoming ever.  Just thought I would share that.  Really thrilled.

Just to add to that amazing stat ....it was a total of 5 offensive plays.

Kostelnik scored two TD's in 10 seconds as I recall.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Or how about their 12+ yards per offensive play?  That's just sick.

I was thoroughly disappointed by the Otterbein defense.  I expected a big MUC win, but I also expected MUC to have to work a little for their scores.  If it wasn't for the red uniforms, I would have sworn we were watching the Heidelberg defense.  It was that bad.

The Otterbein offense is lead by a good QB with some nice size at WR and will put up some yards and points.  I figure they'll probably win 6 games this year because of the O, not the D.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

The Otterbein QB was impressive.  I thought I would like to see him with Mount's receiving corps..Their  defense on this night, however, was as bad as I have seen in the OAC...

Mount's JV's looked like they were ready for varsity play last night.  They put a  24-0 thumping on Ashland.  With the difference in scholarship $$ etc., I expected more from Ashland.  This Harris kid looks like he will step into the QB role with no problem, when his time comes....

Ashland could not move the ball with any consistency whatsoever.  The young Raiders dominated.. THeir level of talent and speed is incredible...

B4's son is not playing this year.  He had an illness in the spring.  B4 lurks around periodically.  :)

KIRASDAD- Jr. had a [near miss] too close to life ending battle with Renal Failure several months ago in Alliance. Within 72 hrs of being admitted into the new hospital in Alliance, he gained 35lbs of fluid in his 305lb. body. Fortunately, a specialist was on call who worked feverishly with doctors from the Cleveland Clinic and saved his life. Right now, we are just taking things month to month. I was confident he has fully recovered but a return (this season) is not in the plans. I remain optomistic for next year and God willing, we'll see. College football has been a significant part of our lives. We will be watching Mount as enthusiastically(sp) as ever and Jr. certainly will be continuing his education at MUC. As far as John Ivory (my other son)lol goes, we expect great effort from a healthy recovery and hope opportunities present themslves for John. He has a lot of love and support from all us of down here in Florida and I look forward to watching some great MUC football with his dad! Thanks for asking about the boys! Talk to you soon.  The Raiders are going to kick some Booty this year!!!

Bonus Obscure College Score: Ursinus 6, LaSalle 2. The Explorers' faithful lament -- if only we'd gotten three more safeties! Located in Philadelphia, LaSalle University has a faculty member who is an expert on Robin Hood.

Bonus Combined Obscure Scores: Saint Francis of Indiana and Saint John's of Minnesota beat Pikeville and Augsburg by a combined 123-0. Running up the score is not saintly behavior!

Running Up the Score Watch: TCU held the boastful Texas Tech to a field goal in a 12-3 victory. Two years ago, Texas Tech relentlessly ran up the score on the Horned Frogs, notching 70 points; TCU had been smarting for vengeance, and by the hammer of Grabthar, they were avenged! Meanwhile Mount Union College -- year-in, year-out home of the worst sportsmanship in Division III -- relentlessly ran up the score on Otterbein, winning 71-14.
