I would have loved to see Jim Ballard come into  Mount right now with the amazing talent that is there...Bubonics would be fun opposite Garcon, too
Ballard was with a talented group, but his confidence and swagger would not allow anything but a championship...If I had to pick a Mount QB of all time..I would pick Ballard, l like his attitude..

I can't wait to see this Marietta kid...I thought Steltzer had an excellent game (all things considered) against Mount Union.

We know what Pentello is capable of...I especially respect him for the years he was running for his life before Collins put it all together.

What is really interesting, I think, is the caliber of coaches that are coming into the conference.
Collins doesn't get half the credit he should..and I thinnk Dean Paul will be in the same class very soon..I think Mount Union's success has brought the expectations of the OAC and with it coaches are seeing OAC jobs as great places to go and gain coaching credibility..

OU...I don't disagree, but if you had Jorris, Pentello or Vrable to choose from who would you want under center?

You are right Manning would not be as successful with the Browns but would he give them a better chance to win...hell yes.

Jorris is in a tough spot because of the talent he has plus he has some huge shoes to fill.  But.....given the choice of being the 3rd best Qb and winning national championships or being the best and not give me the ring.

What type of high school careers did Ballard , Borchert  and Jorris have?

Ballard just got inducted into the Cuyahoga Falls Hall of Fame.

Shouldn't there be some JCU vs. BW smack talk going on this week?

I added a poll so we can get some votes on the QB discussion.  I put the QBs in Alphabetical order.

If I remember right, Borchert attempted a grand total of something like 17 (?) passes his senior year at North Royalton as an option QB.  I the story I heard was that MUC was looking at another player there and liked Borchert's arm and mobility and started recruiting him too.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Well...we all know HSCoach HATES Jorris!   ;)

Actually, Jorris reminds me a lot of Adamson.  LK wasn't thrilled with Adamson's performance early on, but darn if that guy didn't get it done in a big way the last part of his senior year.

I think the poll should be settled in head to head to head battles.  May the best QB/team win.  I will be surprised (like I was last year regarding the ONU victory) if it isn't Jorris/Mount.

After watching Stelzer play last year & this year,  I think he should be added.  I would like to think he would be ranked beside Vrable at Marietta??

If I knew how to add another to the poll I would do it.  :)

If I had to pick a guy with the most God given ability to be a quarterback I'd pick Pentello.  If I was trying to win a national championship, I'd take Jorris.

D3 Poster

ONN is televising the game at 6:30 Saturday and replaying it at 10 am Sunday.

Hard to get a read on these teams... BW knocks off Auggie, loses to Etta and wins 14-0 vs the Quakers.. weather?

JCU loses to Wooster & ONU and beats the Berg.

I'll expect a low scoring game.

ADL70

The Cap D that I saw against Witt will not let Vrable get anything going.  No matter how good he may be.  IMHO

We all are on the same page and agree that Trusnik is the best D-end in Ohio, OAC, Mid-west, and country. But he has not beat the all mighty Mount Union. Your reasoning is very narrow minded and very incorrect.

Narrow minded and incorrect, now nobody had said that about me since my wife last week.  How about a little "smite" sandwich for you newbie?  You gotta come a little harder than that on your first post ever.  Also, nice extra spacing before your quote.  Hope you figure out that function soon.  But welcome and hope to see more on here from you soon.

At least we finally have some action on this board.

By the way seeing Rocky P. and Jorris play there is no comparison.

I don't think Pierre Garcon would have to jog his deep post routes in fear of being under thrown if rocky was under center.
