My point of contention wasn't the number of QB's on the roster (fyi, my number was from the current roster posted online), it was on his implication that getting a good QB was by accident.

Going back to the number of QB thing again, given the number of WR's on the team, you need a bunch of QB's simply to throw them the ball in practice without killing someone's arm........

Mr. L.K "simply the best" like smuckers jelly and peanut butter of Orrville Ohio can now also be called "the collector".The man not only "collects" qb;s but" collects" lots of linemen, many receivers, bunches of runners and more.
Therefore I now give Mr.Kehres an additional nickname of " The Collector".

JD...I expect ONU to be a little more excited about returning to Mount than playing Otterbein. I hope they don't look ahead as I'd like to see a nice beating on the Cardinals this Saturday.

October 7th, the heat could be on the Purple Raiders....after all, they haven't played a team the next year following a defeat since...1987?

Ok, maybe '95-'96.

I didn't interpret seventies' post that way at all. I think what he was saying is that LK likes to recruit a lot of guys who were qbs in hs (figuring that they are often excellent all-around athletes), fully intending to switch many of them to other positions. (If so, the listing of qbs on the college roster may tell nothing about the number of hs qbs recruited.)

The implication was totally yours. That being said, as I am still an active "HS Coach", I hold myself to a higher standard than to engage in childish electronic name calling. I get enough of that crap just going to school every morning.

Some of you guys are just too @$&! sensitive regarding some of the posts. Calling seventies an idiot is being an idiot...the guy has a right to say whatever he wants! Personally, I thought he comments about LK was made tongue in cheek and if you took that seriously call your local mental health doctor for an evaluation! Lighten up Francis!

like how great Stoonk's post is. Top post of the young season. Smuckers, random quotation marks and new nicknames; it's got everything a great post needs.

If you have ever watched a Mount Union practice you would know it takes at least 8 QB's to fill all of the different stations (run O,,Pass o scout O pass,, scout O run , blitz drill, etc

Yep, the current posted roster is dated September 25th, the one I used is dated August 25th. In that one month two Freshman QB's (one from Indiana, one from Ohio) disappeared from the roster. They did not change positions, they are just gone. In fact, if I counted correctly (I have too much time on my hands) a total of 17 players left during that month.
