Random thoughts,

Just saw the Buckeyes show on TV and the Cap/ONU game was hyped as OAC Game of the Week. How many People in Columbus wondered aloud...What should I watch on Saturday, Big 10 or OAC, HMMMMM? They can do both. Try it..you will like it!

JV running back #39 for Mount.....saw him ...was impressed. A Soph behind 2 Sophs on varsity. Tough situation to be in. Keep a positive attitude.

The arguement over who has the strongest arm to be settled at halftime of the Cap/Mount Union game. Pentello vs. Jorris in an arm wrestling contest at halftime.

All this argueing over who is better Stickley or Trusnik is silly. Remember London Fletcher? There was a nasty linebacker with bad intentions! I dont think he ever won against Mount Union either, but hes doing all right anyways. They both are outstanding. Just different.

Did anyone besides me see the MUCAW sneak up on the ONU mascot and put a headlock on their Polar Bear? :o  Now that was tacky...but funny. MUCAW might want to do that with a police escort next time.

section13,  I don't know what you thought you saw but when a polar bear lets a purple chicken get a head lock on him, da bear needs to get help quickly.   As you can guess Iam not a fan of the purple chicken nor slider as far as that goes.  We are RAIDERS .  Not pirates with purple parrots or whatever simile you can  concoct.  Whoever thought that one up must be a PhD.   I haven't seen any black chickens running around the Oakland sidelines this year but it might help seeing how they are playing.

Now here's a random thought... Wilmington might have the worst football stadium in the OAC, but its basketball facility is top notch.  And why does the soccer stadium have lights but not the football stadium?

The Quakers defense has not given up a point in nine quarters. Should be a great matchup.  ;)

I am so not looking forward to this drive. Four hours one way with HScoach is just not fair to anyone.

Pentello is the best QB in the OAC. Trusnik is the best defensive lineman.  Mount has its share. Kmic is better than anyone else, Garcon is too.  Kostelnik will be first team.  I also like Johah Wilson at CB a lot.  Oh, and I'll take our Mike Zimmerman (as opposed to Musky's) over anyone in the league.

We may have the best coaches too.  Well, ok, we do.

bushman

Hey Ric brings up a good point.  With all the posters wanting to compare QB, def. lineman, kickers, etc, etc,  lets compare coaches.  Anybody want to start?  Oh just one rule as with the other  positions  that were discussed will keep this in the OAC.  Head coaches and asst. are fair game.

here is something i am not sure many of the posters would know... good old D3 has gotten some prime time exposure in the past

I was told JOHN MADDEN commentated one of BW's game sduring an nfl strike... anyone want to add

I have heard this before also

cufan

If you are a top D3 coord. and ready to be a head coach,  which one of the bottom half teams in the OAC is most appealing?  And why?

Arth played four years in Division III. I was at his first game in 1999.

Did he play in the first game at Catholic?  I am pretty sure his first start was at Capital that year, abut two or three weeks later.

A 4 hour drive to Wilmington? Oh no! And to a  lousy stadium to boot! Im going anyways. The season is too short and my highschool favorite is out of town also.

I vote Mount Unions concession food to be the best in the OAC. Who is with me? If you consider the price of a ticket to the game and 2 trips to the concession stand, Raider football is a great entertainment value.

I hear that the MAC is on the verge of kicking BG out of the league because of their small stadium and poor attendance. What say we set up a game with BG against Heidelberg and the winner gets in the OAC and the loser gets packing! That will take the heat off Ashland.

Eric Marcy started but Tom Arth threw the majority of the passes that day.

Ironically, although I was there for his first game he did not make my column. :)

I'm pretty sure there was a Witt-BW game covered by CBS during an NFL strike.  I can't remember who the broadcasters were, but I think it was prior to Madden as a broadcaster.

I think Occidental had a game on too.

I know the 1978 championship was nationally broadcast between wittenberg and baldwin-wallacee. It was not Madden in either one though; not sure who the announcers were.

Oh, and B-W has the best punter.

Wizardman

Sorry for the double post, can't edit it.
The 1978 Championship game was on ABC. Announcers were Rick Forzano and Steve Rabriskie. No John Madden in there. Maybe he did do another game during an nfl strike, I wouldn't know though.
Yeah, there's some useless trivia.

Ric

Hey guys the 1982 Baldwin-Wallace vs. Wittenberg game on CBS (during the NFL strike year) is on the front page of the B-W athletics Web site at www.bw.edu/athletics.  Just click on the streaming video link.

If you're going to slam the driver before the trip, then you're correct to say it's a ONE WAY trip!  Have a nice walk home. ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I can't wait for tomorrow and the chance to spend four quality hours (x2) in the car with HScoach. What could be better? I am so blessed. HScoach is such a great guy. God love him.

I'f I'm real lucky I'll get to make it six (x2) the weekend before Christmas. Has anyone else noticed the slated kickoff for this year's Stagg Bowl is 4:00 p.m.?
