reality check

ONU Broadcasters saying "unofficially" on the air that Meadows may have to have some (and I quote them) "procedures on a knee in the offseason" but he is currently "day to day".  I guess today wasn't one of those days for him.

Quirk apparently threw an INT early and fumbled on the next series and hasn't played since.  It sounds like all of a sudden Adam Quirk is being thrown to the wolves as the broadcasters are claiming "many people are fed up with Quirk and want to see Pankratz play."  These are coming off as scapegoat cheapshot comments to me but who knows.

Etta leads despite only accumulating 38 yards of total offense compared to ONU's 170.  A potential first half TD was missed when the officials ruled the runner to have fumbled the ball before he hit the ground at the goal line resulting in a touchback fumble recovery for the Pioneers.

News Flash
Due to shooting themselves in the feet, Mount has no one left to play the remainder of the game. This is the first time that a team has had to forfeit due to lack of players. Film at 11.

Strange game in Berea...

Raiders hold B-W on a goal line stand.  Impressive D.

EXCELLENT radio coverage by WRMU crew.  These guys are the best we've ever had.

Emory and Henry (Don Montgomery) beat Bridgewater today  21-17

Defense wins championships and Mount's D came to the rescue today. But, once again too many penalties. Someone on this board said that's something that can be corrected but as of yet it has not. All these flags should concern every Mount fan.

Can anyone give an update on the MU/BW game, please?

Wizardman

14-0, MUC beat BW. Told you guys it'd be close.
If BW had their starter in we may have actually won. (Again, predicted backup would play). Not too bad though by either side, but MUC ad too many penalties in the first half and BW had too many in the second (though some were controversial to me).

14-0 Mount won, give credit to the Defense holding up as the offense seemed to take a sabatical. With Mount special teams though giving the ball back twice, room enough for everyone to improve on performance. Think some "looking ahead" syndrome might have been in order, but gotta give BW Kudos, they made some changes coming in to this game that paid off overall. The freshman QB Gardner, is definitely making a difference as well, and looks very promising.

It was reported moments ago that BW is donating their turf at the end of the season to the WHAM-O Corporation for experimental purposes on their "Slip-n-Slide" product line.  WHAM-O executives are looking to develop an "even more slippery surface" and BW offered to oblige.   ;D

Cap 26-0 over Otterbein.  Story of the day was Cap not converting in the redzone with td's, and once again too many dropped passes!!  Cap's kicker, Spitz, sets record with 14 points on 4-6 FG attempts and 2-2 Extra Point attempts.  Cap will need to convert & execute in order to pull off the upset; otherwise, MUC will walk all over Cap.

Live stats at ONU say Marietta picked off the No. 20 Polar Bears 16-6.
