Capital hasn't seen anything like the Raiders defensive line. They are really good, maybe better than last year. One coach told me before the season started the two defensive tackles would have All-OAC years and that Stickley was the best DE in the league. He has been proven right.

Was reading the game notes for ONU and BW game. Meadows is out for the season with Knee Injury, talked to some people that I know there and he had  surgery on Monday... Hope he gets back to 100%. He was having a great year rushing with an adequate O-LINE. I can't wait to see him run with all the O-Line back next year.

This week CAPS o-line will give Rocky all the time he needs.

Barring the unforeseen return of Lewis Howes, I'm not so sure how much time that is

Any tailgates to visit for an out of town Raider fan to visit. I know it is Homecoming so there will be that too. I would love to hook up with fellow Raider and or Cap posters on my visit back to the friendy confines of Mount Union Stadium. Let me know please.

Raiderguy,

Will you be bringing the Jello with to share with the MUC(k) fans?  Did JR send any meat with you?

Jello is a distinct possibity but JR didn't allow the interstate transport of such a valuable resource.

I will have a surpise for the Bethel game re: Shots.

We were thinking Stagg Bowl cookout?

Then it will be Staggingfestivities!

You are probably right, if rocky gets the time he will hurt Mt.  In all the games rocky has played against Mt. in  his career and I've witnessed all but one, he has never had the time you claim he needs.  he will be on the run and he knows it.  His accuracy does drop off when he is pressured.  If he is sacked early and this pressure continues he is even less accurate.  This is what i have observed in his ten year career.  Cap does not appear to have the running game to help him out of this type of pressure.  Defense will dictate how this game unfolds.    On another note, I wonder if coach K will use  two QB's in the first half?  If the game remains close [Unless Jorris is totally ineffective] I don't see him doing this against Cap.

This just in, Derrick Alexander is much, much better than Lewis Howes!!  Hopefully that will give you some idea??

if alexander is better than howes that could be a problem. i will bet he is not taller though.  howes height appeared to give mt. problems the first time they met last year.

You are correct my friend...Howes size was a mismatch for a lot of DB's.  Alexander's strength is his speed...though he has never played against MUC, so I expect a lot of physical play from him.  Alexander is listed at 5'11", whereas Howes was listed at 6'6".  The biggest difference this year from Cap's O is their overall receiving corps...they drop too many passes, especially of 3rd down.  Without Alexander, I am wondering where they would be at this point??  I feel their RB (Mulkey) is better then O'Reilly from last year, & their O-Line is about the same.  The only thing that worry's me (Offensively) about going into Sat's game is if they are able to convert on 3rd down, and able to get Alexander the ball.  If not, someone will need to step up, and that is what they have been lacking...Pentello & Alexander cannot do it all, and that is what they ride on!

If Mulkey get loose watch out, he can really fly. Our O-Line really needs to step it up a notch and open some holes for him. We will have to put together 4 quaters of great football. I feel that this will be the year for CAPITAL!

seventiesraider

Let me get this straight, Alexander is faster than All-American decathalete Lewis Howes. One thing Howes had that Alexander lacked in the three games I have seen him play: HANDS or at least soft hands.

Excellent!  Pick me up some MUC gear while you're there!  Have a great trip, and see you back in MN for the 11th.

ESPN contacted Capital to let them know the College Game Day crew will do a segment on  the game Sat.

Hopefully Corso will put a big crusader head on!!!

tdubs,

I don't even want to talk about Melody.  Grew up in NE Ohio a Browns fan, and moved to Cincinnati and turned her back on her upbringing and became a Bengals fan.  Screw her and screw Ocho Cinco.
