CAP's defense is decent.  Rocky is a warrior, but he stares receivers down too much.  CAP's running....errrr...backing up game is strong!  This was speed, talent, toughness, skill vs. lack thereof and the most lopsided, HORRIBLE officiating I have ever seen.  These guys were frickin' CLUELESS!  Stickley was literally getting tackled every play, and yet maybe one holding call?????

Kmic is a monster!

Here's one reason I support LK's policy of ignoring individual honors during the season:

Last week Capital kicker Matt Spitz was the OAC Special Teams player of the week and this week Stickley blocked both his PAT attempts.

Do you think Justen needs an award to know what a great game he played?
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

bushman-
I don't think Capital (or any NCAA program) will be "drafting" anyone anytime soon.

Speaking of special teams...I hear Capital is now accepting resumes for a special teams coach.

Wow, Lee Corso predicts Mount Union because they have purple uniforms.

Not much purple on the field today.  Coach WaKefield should have felt right at home as Mount in their black and white looked more like the Perry Panthers than the Purple Raiders.

Thank goodness they still played like the Purple Raiders!  NO DOUBT WHO'S

NUMBER 1

GO RAIDERS!!!!!
12-0 = 13

Mount Unions offensive line should be the OAC players of the week if you ask me. Nothing Cap tried seemed to make any difference. If you have a line like this you can overcome the rain, wind. sleet, hail, and angry officiating. Kmic was running a clinic out there for wanna be- tough guy tailbacks.

Way to ROLL RAIDERS!!!  Great radio coverage by WRMU this afternoon. You guys improve every game and we enjoy the broadcasts here in FLA. I think I heard MTFAN YELLING on the radio today lol. I had the speakers turned up on the computer and when the weather got nasty and the D-LINE started going bazerk, I could hear THEM 3 rooms away!    Keep up the GOOD FIGHT RAIDERS!!!!!!!!   lOOKS LIKE THE POLAR BEARS WILL BE HIBERNATING EARLY THIS YEAR. PERHAPS IN-----ARIZONA?????? i'M SURE AL GORE COULD USE THAT IN HIS NEXT GLOBAL WARMING FLICK 8)

A good chance you may have heard me, but one thing the crowd did start to get off their hands a bit and make some noise! Maybe a few got their Geritol and Viagra mixed, and were just a bit pumped! Hope you can make a playoff game or the big dance should we get there, I know one thing I'm going Stagg!!  ;D
GO RAIDERS!!!

Update of totally ridiculous stat:

Mt Defense averages giving up 46 centimers per rushing attempt.

That's about 0.00022458 Irish miles, isn't it? ::)

Or the fact that they entered the game giving up 20 yards rushing per game, and leaving the game with that average having been reduced to 14 yards per game.   ;D

The weather sure didn't help the Cap passing game, but they had no answer defensively for the Raider running game.  None.  345 yards on 56 carries is a serious butt kicking.  After starting the season a little slow, Kmic has gone for  over 200 yards against the 3 best defenses he'll see in the OAC (ONU, BW and Capital).  Not too bad for just a sophomore running behind an offensive line that lost 2 starters in the first few weeks.

Sniff...sniff....  Is that Polar Bear I smell cooking? ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I forgot to mention that it was really windy and cold in the press box.  Almost felt like we were outside with the rest of you poor saps...... ;D

So, question. If BW beats Capital, what are their chances of making the playoffs? It doesn't look too good, but I figured I'd throw it out there. Then again, Capital may still edge them out, makign my question worthless.

Oh, and an interesting note. Mental did play a little bit alongside Gardner. QB Controversy? I doubt it. I think  Mental's 100% now and BW's just going to use the freshmen the rest of the season (which looks to be a good move. Heck, we may be looking at a Gardner-Kirbus feud going on inthe next couple years. Okay, Gardner, Kirbus, and Rocky :P

HScoach

If BW wins out I think their chances of sneaking into the playoffs is very good.  They would close out the season beating an 8-1 team as well as having the distinction of playing MUC very close.  Which is the exact same place Capital was last year.  Personally, I'm pulling for BW to do just that.

Interesting note from today's game, at halftime we had Chuck Moore in the booth and when asked during his playing days which team was the toughest?  Chuck said "BW.  Not sure why, but they always played us very tough".
