It will be interesting to see where  the committee sends capital this year.

My guess would be they've earned a home game, especially since MSJ fell today.

Have not seen the box score yet, but Capital scored 3 TDs and only had 19 points.  It seems like some extra points have been missed a time or two this season.  That has got to be a bit of a concern.

Now a rematch with the Puppy Kickers looks a little closer.  Hopefully it happens.

Interesting to note that Ric said he would not put Vrable in the top 5 qb's in the OAC. Just by listening to the game today I would agree. He made some very questionable plays that put his defense in a bad situation.

Looks like Mount is a running team, eh? So many guys can run the ball and produce...over 400 yards rushing...that's remarkable.

It doesn't matter if Jorris or Micheli qbs...both are dangerous.

Cap most certainly will be the #2 seed in the North. They also have earned 2 home games (should they win round 1) before travelling to MUC in round 2. Most likely round 1 candidates are Witt or North Central.

Congrats on the OAC in producing 2 teams for the playoffs. Cap producing any home games for the playoffs is huge for their program and the OAC. Hope we can get Witt again, would be even nicer to beat them twice in a season for recruiting purposes.

A number of players were dinged up today, kmic, lewis, safran, jorris, stickley, vucelich, i also noticed that MUC starting tight end was in street clothes today.... seemed like the raiders had a rough day down south. i hope they all can get healty and be ready for a big push here at the end of the season.

Im listening in to the pioneer live streaming broadcast from the Marietta website. Not too bad. And as I was typing Mount scores. 7-0.

Why listen to Etta's streaming's broadcast when you could have listened to WRMU's live internet broadcast at www.muc.edu/wrmu. ;)

I may be missing something here (clearly wouldn't be the first or last time 8) ), but as a Pool C qualifier I don't understand how Capital would be a deemed a second seed or have home games. 10-0 Concordia clearly comes in above them as do the other 9-1 AQ's. I still would not be surprised to see Wisconsin LAX show up in the North.
As much as I love the OAC, I don't see Cap as the second seed and I think if the selection committee does, they'll move somebody else in.

Congrats to Mount Union on another fine season and best of luck in the playoffs!

Does anybody know what time they are announcing the playoff games tomorrow? Is ESPN covering it?  Cap shot themselfs in the foot several times today. They can not so that in the playoffs.

Check out some of the rooms on the General Football board.

Last week Cap was #3 in the North, CUW was #4.  With #2 MSJ losing, they should both move up, but I can't see any reason why CUW would jump over Cap.  AQ vs. C is NOT a criterion.

Despite their high poll standing, LaCrosse is highly unlikely to be in the playoffs - poor scheduling decisions!  And Ralph Turner is now predicting a North team will go West, not the other way round.

Thanks Mount Fan, found it right after I posted.

Who's Ralph Turner?  He is head of the selection committee?

Mr. Ypsi,
Curious, since you criticize LaX's scheduling decisions in making your opinion regarding the playoffs, if they don't make the cut, how would you attempt to solve this problem in the future?  They didn't schedule a D1-AA & a NAIA school in CA just because they wanted to.  Are you aware of the scheduling decisions they have to make since none of the nearby D3 schools in Minn, Iowa, Illinois, or WI are willing to schedule them for NC games?
