A little side note. Congrats to ALL the OAC (especially Mount ) seniors. My heart and admiration go too all those student-athletes who showed up for practice and did what was asked of them. There is a small percentage who played for 4 years and saw little or no playing time. These guys really show what heart is. After freshman year  usually "the writing is on the wall" and they stuck it out.
The neat thing is these kids start out as " that kid stinks" and ends up "you gotta love him." Congrats to their parents, you must have done a fine job.
I would sit at the Mount banquets and my son would tell me that this kid or that kid just got a couple bad breaks. But I really admire him, he does his best.
God Bless and Good luck in your future endevours.

6. Jason Trusnik- played against him his DPOY year... 0 sacks 1 tackle...not very promising numbers... maybe get a breakdown between the top OAC schools and the lower half for stats

That would be a very telling stat indeed.

Not that it makes a huge difference (but it goes back to the accuracy thing); capitalcrusaders.net says he had 3 tackles, not the 1 that 2minute0 said.  I know it's nitpicky but I'm just trying to be factual since so many people aren't.

Next Monday

Been a long time since the best football game of the weekend in Mount Union Statium was the Friday night game. You might have have to go back to when me and Runyr, Rscl70 and that LK guy were on campus and Alliance was still playing teams like Massillon and McKinley.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Or back further to the 50s when Lennie Dawson was playing for the Flyers.

Ric

theotherguy, well there is no "offensive" and "defensive" player of the year awards in the OAC.  But the Special Awards and All-Conference team should be announced on Monday.

Ric:

Maybe I'll get a chance to briefly meet you on Sat (I will be on sidelines and might make a quick visit to the PB with our staff).  One request: Please have your Ohio weatherpeople try to arrange for some nice weather for the game! ;D  Looking forward to seeing your renovated stadium (I have not been there for a few years).

Ric

formerd3db, it would be great to meet you. I will be on the field from about an hour and a half to an hour before kickoff talking to the Mount coaches and our both is upstairs on the north end which is the far right booth. HScoach will be with me.

Ric

I was just told the OAC team will be released next Tuesday...

...and then, hopefully, an OAC rematch with Capital, which would be much more entertaining if it were like last year's playoff rematch rather than this year's regular season game.

theaprof

Oh no, I think I would prefer a rematch that looked more like this season's game. ;D

anyone have predictions for the OAC first and second team... lets see who can get the most right...lol

Any names popping up at Muskingum yet?

onufan22

Anyone think its still possible for R.J. Meadows to recieve ALL-OAC honors.. He only played 6 games, but still is second in the OAC in rushing after 10 games. That has to stand for something.
