Pretty solid job today by MUC student radio, but did anybody catch them playing a puff the magic dragon PSA during the second quarter? They may call a good game, but they need to work on their technical skills.

I think that PSA is a few years old.  Don't think the current play-by-play crew were involved with that.

There is nothing wrong with the PSA. I was listening in the 2nd qtr and all of a sudden in the middle of the play it cuts to this couple min. long PSA during the game. Just thought it was a little funny.

skunks_sidekick

The kids from Wheaton played hard today.  Great hits, hard knocks.  Then, after the play was over, both teams would pick up their opponent, give them a tap, and proceed to do it again on the next play.

CAP......I have one prediction for next week........PAINNNNNNNNNNN......come get your final beat down.   ;D

theotherpurple

skunks,

pretty accurate on the cap outcome, good thing they squeaked by in the last minute today...and unless you play, don't talk about giving cap pain or a beat down next week, you wont be doing anything but what you are right now...

Toph

How about the final results of the OAC/CCIW challenge resulting in a 76-16 final score in favor of the good guys?

I only got one thing to say. Mount Union better watch out for the Wesley Wolverines in the Stagg Bowl. Because Wesley is gonna get there and they are gonna BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go again with the"better watch out" banter. Yeah, yeah, we hear ya! And what does "they are gonna Beast" mean?

And finally, today's game with Wheaton comes down to the old but true cliche...
"Defense wins championships."  A super game by the D! Of course turning Kmic loose didn't hurt either.

Stanley had 17 tackles last year so he didn't just split time on O and D as a freshman and sophomore and I was pretty sure he was lined up opposite of Garcon a couple times in last year's Stagg.  And Mounties know for sure?  I could have sworn he was defending Garcon because he was the only guy on the Warhawk roster capable of running with him.

The 17 tackles comes partly off of special teams.  He's a gunner on our punt team and records tackles for that.

Wouldn't that be 0-6???

The OAC improved to 40-8 since the expansion.  Obviously the OAC will go 1-1 next Saturday.  That means the OAC will have a 81% Winning Percentage since the expansion.  Mount accounts for a record of 27-3 and the OAC at-large teams are 13-5 (72% Winning Percentage) with 4 of those losses coming to Mount.  Mount continues to blow away the competition and runs away in WP (big surprise) but the OAC at-large teams continue to pull away from the rest of D-III in playoff WP.

Great job to both OAC reps once again.

New Tradition

Just returned from Ohio.  Congrats to the Crusaders on a great game.  You are an excellent team and proved that today.  The Cards were outhit, outcoached, and, simply put, outplayed.  We lost to a better team.  I know the Crusaders have their work cut out for them against Mount Union, and, although I have never actually seen Mount Union play, I saw some very good football today. This should be an excellent game and I see no reason why you can't knock the Raiders off.   Hopefully you guys can pull it out.  I'll be pullin' for you!  Congrats again and hopefully we'll have a part III to this ordeal next year!
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!
