After the Stagg Bowl Kyle and Thom Hausler are done, but Shawn Hausler is still playing.

You mean after the Aztec Bowl...

E-Mail kirasdad, come on, with all this Rocky talk you're thinking its still 1952.

I think DaBein is available to provide "Feelings" commentary.

Even without an injured little brother Otte, Marion Local was way too much for Shady Side. I'm accepting reasons why they should move up from Divsion VI. I think theres something in the water.

Interesting trivia challenge online:

http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Sports/ONUMt-Union-Football-2004-194064.html

Some factual issues however...with the setup of the question:

"This quiz is about the Ohio Northern/Mt. Union football game that was played on October 23 2004. Mt. Union had won 100 consecutive games coming into the game. Mt. Union was ranked no. 1 nationally prior to the game".

Mount has been dominant but has never pulled off 100 consecutive wins as we all know.  Still there were some other interesting questions about the game.

Yes, for the 42nd time ageless Rocky Pentello gets a shot at his nemisis, Mount Union. After 42 straight defeats Rocky says he can still get the job done.

Am I the only one who noticed that Ric chose to use Capital's #7 ranking from the Coaches Poll instead of the #4 rank from D3 when he put together the Tale of the Tape this week? Heck he could have used Massey's #9 ranking. That's just mean Ric. ::)

I didn't choose anything seventies just have always referred to the coaches poll for that type of thing.  Please don't try to start something that isn't there. Thank you.

My son is a soph at Capital and brought some stuff home for my 10 year old daughter to wear.So now she's running around the house yelling,"Go Capital!" If there are any Cap. people having a similiar problem please contact me so we can work  out a trade tomarrow morning before the game. Thanks.

I also noticed that Ric chose to use Mount's #1 Ranking from the Coaches Poll, D3.com and Massey.

There's something funny about a Mount Union guy bringing up the idea of petitioning for a team to move up a division or two (high school or otherwise).

Actually Massey has us 3rd behind WWW and LAX, so there ;)

And yes the the tongue was in cheek while suggesting we move Marion Local to their own special division, perhaps in Indiana

blind_side

Just wanted to let the post pattern community know that Blind_side and 2minuteO are waking up at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow and taking a trip down the Ohio Turnpike to watch Capital put a  whooping on the Purple Raiders.

And hahahaha Rocky is old, and Ric is short.

ps. Hopefully the MSWord spell check was able to catch everything this time. thanks

Mr. Ypsi

Just checked weather.com for Alliance - looks like game time will be partly sunny to sunny, but wind chill in the low to mid 20s.  I would assume that 10-20 mph winds would favor MUC, since gusting winds play much more havoc on the pass than the run.

You may not escape the wintry stuff entirely, but it's not predicted to hit 'til Sunday, and should be NOTHING compared to what hit the midwest today.
