Let me be the first to say: Mount Union hasn't seen a _______ like St. John Fisher's before.

Hmm, actually not as hard to type with my tongue in my cheek as I thought.

Quote from: section13raiderfan on December 02, 2006, 04:34:58 PMIn the postgame interview Rocky said he was disappointed to be remembered for going 0 for 6 in his career against MUC just like Larlam and Arth and Franzer and other OAC QBs. Not really bad company if you think about it.

Rocky unfortunately has the dubious distinction of being 0-6 all alone and by himself.  Larlham, Arth and Franzer lost plenty to the Raiders, but Rocky goes down as the only one with 6.  You gotta be remembered for something right?

Congrats to Rocky and the rest of the Crusaders.  Of course he'd rather be playing next Saturday but with his 255 yards and 2 TD's today, Rocky finishes his career with 111 TD's (leapfrogging him from 9th to 4th place all-time) and 12,569 career passing yards (good for 3rd on the all-time list).  Congrats to Rocky on a fine career...a long, fine career.

Off football for a sec...did anyone notice that a basketball team scored 201 points in one fricking game today?! I think it was in DIII but didn't see that score posted.

Pay no mind to Pat, he's picked against Fisher the whole post season. (was that tongue in cheek?)

Moving on - Congrats on yet another Quarterfinal win for the Purple Raiders. Look forward to seeing how our team matches up vs. such a legendary program as Mt. Union.

I don't think you'll find anyone saying "Mt. Union hasn't seen an (anything) like fishers" - That's foolish. Mt. Union is clearly a measuring stick for any program and this year is absolutely no different. Looking forward to some fun discussions before Saterday.

Defense, Defense, Defense, sums up today's game in Alliance.  Mount's defense was outstanding, and Capital's "D" had Mount's offense out of synch all afternoon.  Congrats to Capital on a great game and a great season.  I admit, after the first meeting I underestimated the Crusaders.  It really is unfortunate these two teams had to meet in the quarterfinals; today's game would have made a great Stagg Bowl.

I'm looking forward to next year to see what Cap brings.  Will they be a conference power or a one shot wonder?  I'm betting conference power.  Looks like some exciting football ahead!

Go Raiders!
12-0 = 13

By the way tags the Misspelling of Saturday means nothing on the OAC board... I know Alfred may be purple like Mount Union but....

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Well, (here comes pg with another point to make fisher fans angry), If(when) MUC beats St. John fisher...they aren't yet the National Champions.  They would be facing a (presumably) stronger team on a neutral field the next week... just some food for thought  :P

And you presume Wesley or Whitewater will be able to stop Mount Union? I think he was saying Mount Union will more than likely win it all again & it wouldn't be a bad thing to say we lost to them.

Really all I was saying that I think Wesley and UWW have better chances of Beating MUC and nothing is a given.
