Just to sum a few things up...

Rocky Pentello is an amazing QB who will go down in history as the greatest OAC qb to ever touch the pigskin. Mount's QBS are horrible and can not throw and there is no comparison to jorris/new kid to Rocky.

I still have no respect for mount or the fans. As much as I want to see the OAC succeed I can not find it in my heart to cheer for Mount. Their program has gone down hill in the past few years as it is very evident in yet another 1st place stat (Most penalized team in the country)

congrats to all the Cap players and coaches you guys played a hell of a game.

blind_side...Rocky is an excellent QB but he's 0-6 against Mount... You're a poor loser!

Mount's program has gone downhill as we have gone to the quarterfinals 15 years in a row instead of 16 and we have ONLY 8 titles instead of 9...You're a pathetic loser! How old are you...10?

Go away and get a life!

Whew...great defensive game by Cap, never thought they would contain that well...almost enough to prevent Mount from overcoming all those penalties.

Frankly, was not impressed with Rocky today.

Lack of a passing game by Mount was very strange.

Anyone figure out why Jorris didn't play much?...another strange happening or non-happening today.

LK must have been somewhat impressed based upon the fact he dropped nine (9) guys back in coverage!!  Bottom line, you will not find a better young man to lead a team in 4 years than what Rocky has done for Coach Collins and his program.

QuoteThey would be facing a (presumably) stronger team on a neutral field the next week...

I don't think there's a stronger team out there than the one Mount beat today.  There's a reason that the second place OAC team always loses to Mount in the playoffs.  Put Capital in another bracket and they're probably in the semis.  Put them on the other side of the bracket and they're probably in the Stagg Bowl.

Great defensive effort by CAP today in the red zone.  Their "bend don't break" defense did the job.  Mount's D played extremely well all day.

Mount will need to re-find their passing game if they want to move past next week.  Very disturbing, but a win is a win.

And no, Jorris wasn't hurt, nor was Garcon.  Very, very strange.

I overheard after the game Garcon was feeling a little dizzy after his KO Return...possible concussion??  I am not sure it mattered much at that point, as MUC was not throwing the fball.

I am a fisher fan...I think that MUC will win this game....but if MUC does not play better than they did today and fisher continues to play the way they are...we could see a huge upset....

One thing you need to know & understand...MUC's defense is #1 in the country for a reason!!  I have a feeling you will be singing a different note this time next Saturday!!

We weren't supposed to move the ball on Rowan either.

PG04 last time I checked Mount Union is still National Champions untll someone beats them....  and on tags post Rowan was the number 3 defense....so don't get cocky MUC just because we've never been here before doesn't mean it's an automatic win for you guys

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Rocky is no doubt an amazing qb, best ever in the OAC? That's debatable.  They're a plenty of others that could enter that discussion, Arth, Larlham, Ballard and Borchert come to mind.

Now may I ask as to why you don't respect the Mount Union program.  I can understanding not liking them, as they are like the New York Yankees of Division III football.  But how can you not respect them.  After all that Mount has accomplished over the past 15 years, the 8 National Titles, the 15 straight conference titles, I'm sorry but that demands respect.

Believe it or not I can understand your disrespect for Mount fans.  You probably hate them for calling your beloved Rocky old and all the other jokes about him.  You probably hate the fact that they cheer for the team that always beats yours.  But hey I was at the game today and I will say this, Cap fans were louder and got on their feet more than Mount fans.  But perhaps the biggest reason as to why I can understand your disrespect for Mount fans, is that well because you probably feel that they give you no respect.  You know why they don't give you respect, because you don't give respect to them and based on your posts on this board, you seem to be very ignorant and disrespectful to just about everybody other than Cap fans.

As far as your comment on Mount going down hill, that has to be the most ignorant thing you have ever said.  While Mount no doubt is penalized, last time I checked they are still in the semifinals for the 12th straight year.  They can overcome those penalties because that's how good they are.  It is something they have to work on and is their biggest flaw.  And for the record I think if Mount didn't have some of the penalties today they could have won by two touchdowns.

Jorris while good, is no Rocky, it just wasn't his day. With the 2 quarterback system now in place, Coach Kehres will go with the hot hand, today that was Micheli with his legs, which by the way the Cap defense couldn't always stop as he had 116 yards rushing and 2 scores.

With all that off my chest, I want to congratulate Cap on a fine season and Rocky Pentello and all the seniors for great careers.  Rocky is no doubt one of the best to ever play in the OAC and it is a shame to see him end his career with another loss to Mount.  He played his heart out today and I wish him and all the Cap seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

Let me be the first to say: Mount Union hasn't seen a _______ like St. John Fisher's before.

Hmm, actually not as hard to type with my tongue in my cheek as I thought.

So I take it you had Rowan in your bracket pat?

I hope he's at full go next week, the SJF faithful owe him a payback after his non-td-hailmary catch in 2004 vs SJF while playing for Norwich.  The entire pile wasnt even in the endzone and the ball never crossed but still was called a TD.  Totally ruined our perfect season.
