How does Kmic compare to Chuck Moore when he was a soph?

Amazingly, I could not find the 1999 archived season stats on www.MtUnionFootball.com
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

Not sure what either Chuck or Dan had after their Sophomore years but I remembered seeing this in the Terry Pluto article about Kmic in the Beacon Journal last week.

"Pugh (4,012 yards) followed by Moore (3,846) are Mount Union's top two career rushers. Kmic is at 2,933 yards, and he's only a sophomore."

Don't forget to add last Saturday to that.

Amazing considering he really didn't start until the playoffs last year.

Kirasdad,

I am planning to be in Alliance as well. The fact that you and I both saw the '99 game cancels out any negative karma we may have caused as individuals. I would like to get together if you know where you will be game day. If not when you find out let me know. Neighborhood, campus buffet tailgate whatever.

Ric, Seventies....same thing. I ran into a couple of buds at the Wheaton game and would like to hook up again this week with some of the D3 bunch. Let me know.

Looking forward to another "you don't know what you're in for" victim.

Will they ever learn?

And I even captured one of Nate's TD runs last year.  Happy to see it has become one of Pat's favorite photos.  I think Pat's use of my photos may have finally legitimized my efforts with rowanfootball.com and d3football.com.  Two NJAC schools that typically hassle me (Rowan and College of NJ), have credentialed me w/o a problem this year.  First time I have gone hassle free since I started in 2002.

I even got on the field for the Hobart playoff game at Rowan w/o having to use Pat's help.  Hopefully it continues.  I also hope to have more time to dabble in d3football.com (broadcasting.... maybe a feature or so) next year.  This year I've been so busy with my real businesses.

Congratulations to Capital on another fine season.

You guys have been class all the way through and represented the OAC with top notch performances in all the playoffs.

I am just wondering how you managed to get Rocco(Rocky)  four more years at OSU?

It's the old change the name ploy. Clever.

Amazing accomplishment! LOL.

I am a new poster but a long time reader of the Post patterns, I am a Mount Grad and a former player, but to the comment about what did Chuck and Dan have after their soph year, we need to remember they split carries for their final 2 years, they did not receive the touches that Nate is.  I was at the game last weekend and a few last year, Nate is a great back runs alot like Chuck but his numbers are prob better because he is getting more touches and Mount is not throwing like they did with Smeck and Adamson were the QBs.

I was thinking the same thing.  Here are the numbers from Chuck Moore's Junior and Senior Seasons:

2000:
RUSHING           G      Att Gain Loss    Net   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
------------------------------------------------------------
Chuck Moore      14  263 1666   19   1647  6.3  27   52 117.6
Dan Pugh           14  185 1037   52   985   5.3  16   37  70.4

2001:
RUSHING         GP   Att  Gain  Loss  Net   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
-----------------------------------------------------------
Chuck Moore     14  319 2402   53   2349   7.4  30   95 167.8
Dan Pugh          14 172   860    17   843   4.9  13   39  60.2
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

Kirasdad - how many attempts does Kmic have this year?  I would guess with Wray and Morring getting more than a few, and with some of the blowouts, that Kmic's attempts would be similar to Chucky's and Pugh's.

Come on guys, on this board we're tying to figure out who this would be comic called TU is, and on the Empire 8 they're talking about pep bands!  Is there a football game this weekend?  ???

Thats how we roll in the East Region....

If you think Pep Bands is off topic, you should check out the Liberty League.  They are by far the most off the wall collection of posters ever.

...and you love us for it Upstate.

Since we're all rushing - Here's what MUC will have to contend with... Note that Fisher is not one dimensional either, and Robinson's carries are way down from his 2,000 yd season in 2004. MUC will get a nice steady dose of him - We'll need him to have the best game of his career if we're going to move the ball.

RUSHING         GP  Att Gain Loss  Net   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mark Robinson 13  244 1521  61 1460   6.0   23   69 112.3
James Reile     13  147  836   33  803   5.5   9   56  61.8

JK

SO they way I am looking at the comparisons, Kmic's number of carries this year is almost the same as Moore's 2000 season... Kmic has 269 and Moore had 263, and Kmic has 254 more yards (1920 to 1666).

Of course, Kmic has at least one more game to add to both numbers.

YPC look about the same, 7.0 for Kmic and 6.3 for Moore in 2000 and 7.4 in 2001.

What are Pugh's stats from the one year he was the featured back?  Better or worse?

Why does that person need two identities? One is fine.
