If you are going to be watching the game the out of town and are curious about weather conditions in Alliance, I found this Chapman Hall webcam and Bracey Hall weather station:

It's 9:30 AM here in sunny (for the moment), but freezing North Canton, OH.  Current temp is around 15 degrees.   :o

Tomorrow is still looking pretty decent considering the time of year.

Safe travels to all SJF fans.  Maybe I will see some of you out and about tonight.

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

It was about 15 and snowing this morning when my plane landed at CAK at 12:30am...

Ahhhh...KD.  You had that last Airtran flight into CAK huh?  Been there and done that before.  Welcome home!

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Thanks.  Anyone hanging out in Alliance tonight?  I am staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next to CAK but may venture East tonight...

Capital's next starting QB.  He is transferring from Texas State.  His name is Paul Blake.

KD - I am thinking about heading that way tonight myself.  Or possibly some people that are staying over this way will want to get together for a few.

REMINDER:

Entries for the SJF/Mt. Union quarter-by-quarter score contest are due by midnight tonight (Friday 11:59pm EST) in the E8 Post Patterns Board.  Please do not go and edit your first post if you plan on changing your entry -- just re-post.  I have frozen the first 15 entries and have them down already.  Any new post you make will be found and will replace the prior entry.

Remember, you're guessing the quarter-by-quarter score, and the winner will be the person who had the least differential when the 8 scores (one for each team each quarter) are combined.  Tiebreaker will be proximity to the final score only.  All judges decisions are final.  Void in West Virginia and Tennessee.  For a full set of game rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Good luck to all.

Congrats to the 20 OAC'ers who made the North Region Team!  11 total first teamers, six second teamers and 3 third teamers is a great sign of the success and quality of the OAC.  (But we already knew that.)

And now for the argument starters:

North Region second team kicker goes to BW's Adam Wiburn but he didn't even crack Honorable Mention all-OAC.  Spitz and Zimmerman must be wondering if there were some hanging chads.

No Hauslers on the list...I thought Thom could get a nod as a returner, especially when compared to the stats of the guys who did get the honors.

Former D3football.com Defensive Player of the Year Jason Trusnik is nowhere to be found.  I'm not saying he should have made the first team.  I just think he should have made the list, especially when you compare him to some of the honorees.  MSJ's Lawless (who will be playing with Trusnik in the Aztec Bowl) had 14.5 TFL and 8.0 sacks.  Langston from Concordia finished with 14.5 TFL and 5.0 sacks.  Trusnik tallied 19.5 TFL and 11.0 sacks.  I think Stickley absolutely earned his spot and Studebaker appears to have had a heck of a season although the stats posted on the release (46 tackles, 26.5 TFL and 19.0 sacks) don't jive with the Wheaton website (44 tackles, 24.5 TFL and 17.5 sacks).  Either way the numbers are impressive.

I know the OAC can't win every honor and these awards are always up for debate.  Someone always gets overlooked and can make a case for themselves.  It's a pretty boring week though so I figure it's worth bringing up for debate.
