OU#25

Anyone besides me notice the similarities between this years semi-final and last year's?  Both were 12 point victories over the East representative, strong defenses and all-time record setting rushing performances by Nate Kmic.

Like last year, I trust Kehres and his staff to develop a gameplan that will be effective against Whitewater.  If that means throwing 50% of the time we can do that...if it means giving Kmic the ball 99% of the time we can do that as well.  Fans seem to worry more about how we win then if we win.  Don't take this success casually...it will not last forever.

I do know one thing...winning starts and ends on the offensive and defensive lines and from that vantage point I like our chances for a national championship again this year.

Hats off to MUC on a great game - You guys are pretty unbelievable. Our boys played probably their best game of the year and still came up a little short - says a lot for your squad.

Good luck in Salem.

WW-MUC Part Deux will be happening next week.  I can't wait.  It will surely be one heck of a game!!  Both teams are very deserving of the honor of playing for the national championship!!  I am going to enjoy watching Nate, Justin, Pierre(J'espère que tu vas mieux et que tu n'auras plus mal à la main!!) PETE, Derek, Neil, Ryan, JJ, the 2 MU QBs, the 2 OLINES (I love Oliners!!!), the DLines, and 2 of the best coaching staffs in all of d3 football and dare I say in all of college football!!!  All will get brownies galore and that's a fact.  Skunk, 70's, thea I think the weather is supposed to be nicer than last year.  I am planning on coming early and staying both Friday and Saturday.  We are planning a get together.  PM if you are interested in a Friday night happening.

GREAT SEASON RAIDERS!  WHY STOP NOW?  COME ON DOWN TO SALEM!!  THERE'S GOING TO BE A RUMBLE 12 / 6 /06
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Loved the game, Mt. Union fans were great, and Nate was nasty! So many times a Fisher player grabbed him in the backfield and he just gingerly shrugged them off and ran for about 8 yards.  He was fast, strong, and always fell forward.  Good times and we are looking forward to next year.

I watched the web TV broadcast, but had to listen to the slightly delayed audio from WRMU.
Our guys at WRMU were FAR SUPERIOR in their audio coverage.  I turned the web TV broadcast sound off at the half.  Those guys were putting me to sleep.

Wow, that's harsh.

Sorry that a neutral broadcast was so distasteful to you. Stick with the homers, that's fine.

Pat

I think you and Keith did a fine job.  No complaints from me.  Well, okay one complaint (although you had nothing to do with it).  Every time a big play (ie. the 4th and goal TD for SJF and the fumble by Wray) took place, the video feed got choppy and the audio would fail on me.  It was not something that could be prevented but I couldn't believe the timing and luck but watching on the internet with a break in video or audio is a good problem to have.  I can't be critical of something we were lucky to have this year.

I didn't have the best of luck all day as I tuned into the other game for what was apparently the 5-6 minute stoppage to fix the chains as all I saw was kids sliding down a snow bank while Pat Cummings discussed the week's weather in Whitewater.  Someone upstairs must have thought it would be fun to torture and tease me today.

I was impressed by Robinson's tough running today but what I liked best about Kmic's running is that he doesn't give up ground.  If he was contacted at the opponents' 25 yard line he was going down inside the 25.  There was no driving him backwards.  He didn't give an inch.  Kmic's not a big guy but it appeared all game as though he was either delivering the blow or absorbing and deflecting it; never was he on the receiving end (or that's the way it seemed.)

Great job by both teams.  Keep it up Raiders!

You guys did a good job.  You guys do a service to D3 which continued today.  I m not sure what he wants out of you!

I too thought that the broadcast was great.  Really enjoyed watching it live from FLA.  Keep up the good work.

I thought both broadcast teams were very good. Had two laptops rolling.  Too bad Wesley couldn't give UWW a game.  Hopefully the NCAA continues to expand coverage in the playoffs next year.

Pat,
Want to say a special thanks for the chance to pow wow friday night, your incite in creating this site and what it has become and the sacrifices it's taken don't go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by us all! As i had eluded to friday night and became appearant saturday,  the sack assault became relentless, 6 sacks and countless hurries kept SJF on their heals most the afternoon. I know the QB had to have felt like a ton of bricks had been dumped on him all afternoon, yet he continued to pick himself up and gut it out time and time again. A real tribute to the fight that SJF has, and gained much respect for making the game much better than i felt was anticipated.

Skunks-sidekick, Theaprof, 70's, HurMUC, WCLegacy, AJwassup, Ric and others,
Making preps again for the tailgating, and a great time! Should know more as the week goes along! AND WOW! I LOVE being back in the West stands again in SALEM!! ALA BRidgewater...and a night game...and Chuck Moore...oh that's right we dont have Chuck any longer. wonder if we got someone that could fill those shoes!!! HEHEHEHEHE

GO RAIDERS  #9 will be fine

Pat, nice work on the broadcast.  The thing I'd say is use more excitement.  Doesn't have to be slanted towards a team, just excitement for a big play or big hit.  Thanks for covering.

Great game by SJF.  LK continues to do what is required to win.

Hooray! My losing streak is over.  I was almost going to leave at half with the 9-7 score but the team gutted it out and saved me from having to banish myself from ever seeing the Raiders in person again.

Kmic is the real deal.  It will be enjoyable to watch him get even better over the next two years.  I am sure many MAC schools are wishing they would have given him a chance.

Great game, now on to Salem in the Quest for #9!

Got to meet seventiesraider and his son also.  Sorry I didn't make to A-Town on Friday night.  Went to dinner with the wife's family.

Anyone think the Raiders are the underdog this week?

UWW wiped the floor with Wesley and we haven't really thrown the ball at all the past few weeks?

I know, how can MTU be the underdog right?  OK, I'll wake up from my dream now.

Wesley made too many mistakes and UWW took advantage. Maybe an even game?
