MUC 's jv schedule has some games on sunday afternoon, some monday at 4,, and some monday at 7pm.

the players all practice together every day,,only one team at practice,,no seperate jv coaches,, etc. The Position coaches coach all the players,,and sometimes at the end of practice,,the young players may get an extra 20 plays to keep sharp,,as many of them have been scout squad during practice. Not all coaches work at the jv game  since the Varsity will practice on monday ,,and some games  are away,,so a few stay home..takes a lot of work by the Coaches!!!,,but it seems to pay off !!!

D O.C.

Gad I wonder it pays off.
Thank-you.
I've asked a similar question before and have enough insight that the program is a large contributor to  the varsity winning all those national championships.

Checked the AFCA site a few minutes ago and saw that LK was named Coach of the Year. Thought I would pass that along. I thought it was a lock - but I thought it was a lock last year as well!

Many of you have probably seen this, but I thought it was worth posting here--I heard from Harry Paidas (our VP for Public Information) that this guy isn't even an alum--but he sure does know how good the Raiders are:

Theaprof:  After seeing how the Buckeyes forgot to show up in Glendale, the Raiders couldn't have done any worse against Florida ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I'll shoulder the blame for Glendale.  They didn't lose in the desert until I showed up.

theaprof,

I knew Mount Union was good, but I didn't realize they were that good.
What a story!

Thanks.     :D

Interesting comparisons between Mt. and OSU,   Having only followed Mt. since the early 90's,  can anyone remenber when Mt. got their socks blown off in a title game , conference or otherwise?

2003 against the Johnnies 24-6. That was indeed a dark day in Raider history.

Jim Tressel likes to inspire his players by assigning them off season reading projects. Why not start one on their behalf? Lets gather up all the press clippings and media guides. Hire a writer and start  "The Mount Union Story."  Or perhaps, "Larry Kehres On Winning It All (Again and Again and Again)."

I saw "We Are Marshall" recently and was entertained but not blown away by the film. I propose a film called We Are Mount Union....What Are You Gonna Do About  It?" Now that would be a good movie.... and a long one too!  Any suggestions on Who would play Coach Kehres? How about the players? Who could we get to play Ed Bubonics, Adam Marino, Pierre Garcon, and a dozen other star recievers? Who could we cast to play the star running backs? Would Tom Cruise make a good Chuck Moore? We could get an ex-jock to play the QB role. How about Tim Couch as one of the QBs?  Hes available....Im sure. ;)  And what about defenders? Send in your casting suggestions!

Perhaps THEAPROF could help with the screen play, or even try it out as a school play first. Then he could sell the rights to Hollywood and retire.  OK...just so long as I get my cut too! It was my idea!!!

I will play myself...nobody else could do me justice. ::)

Why did the Stout coach resign? Was he forced out?Hopefully that wasn't the case,if so,what about the Director of Admissions, his Faculty Advisor,if he lived in a dorm, the R.A.,etc...Now if the Coach protected or covered up,or looked the other way that is a different story.
