Ric

Jack Nicholson can fill the role of KC Keeler. He might be a tad old but he has the shades.

Jared the Subway guy can play Pat, they were separated at birth.

How about Sean Astin in the role of Ric? He's 5'6 so I'm close. After all I realize I'm no Tom Cruise but I'd like to think I'm no Jason Alexander either.

Bill Borchert can play Bill Borchert because I want to see him in a Purple Raiders uniform just one more time.

JK

This was truly fascinating.  It helped the day go by at work much faster.

It is definitely the off-season.

I've retracted my recommendation of Randy Quaid as LK.  Instead Cousin Eddie will play the lovable drunken townie who put a for sale sign in LK's yard after the team went 6-4 in '87, but still goes to every home game and finally saves up enough money for the bus ticket to Salem for the Stagg Bowl.  His big line is where he says, "I don't believe in heaven, but if there is one, this must be it," as he walks into the men's room at Salem Stadium after draining a keg during the trip.

LK must be played by a much more distinguished actor, perhaps the guy who played the coach on the show Coach.  After seeing the hobbit movie, I'm not really sure you want Sean Astin as Ric.  That may be more the role for Charlie Sheen.

As you can see, this has been a top priority today.  Much better than actually working.

Ric:

Wouldn't Nickolson ahve to wear a hairpiece or wig?  K.C. has more hair as I recall. ;D  Hollywood make-up specialists can do wonders, though as we all know!

A hairpiece or he could wear a cap or even a fedora.  I haven't seen many current movies and don't know the names of the young actors who could portray the athletes.  We may have to rely on some young unknowns.  This is fun.

The guy who played Stiffler in the American Pie movies could be Monty if he hits the weights.  Can think of many actors who are that intense.

Chuck Norris can play Bill Borchert because they are both Bad A55ES!

Will Smith's agent just called and said he would like to read for the Justen Stickley part. He might be able to get Tommy Lee Jones for the K C Keeler part. Says he looks good in shades and can portray the evil adversary part very well. What do you guys think? Too old for the part? Can Smith's ears be shoehorned into a Raider helmet?

I dunno about Dan Patrick for this film...but I would love to see Danica Patrick as one of the cheerleaders. Ok, shes a race car driver and not an actress....so what!
Go Google her name and see if Im right about this.

Howie Long has some acting experience....could he pull off the LK part?

Pat Coleman

Sorry -- I have a clause in my contract requiring all parts of mine to be played by Fred Savage.

It would be only fit and proper for me to be played by Gabby Hayes - if he were still alive.

Mr. Ypsi

My contract says all portrayals are by Rin Tin Tin - gotta get a better agent! ;)

I agree 100%.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

We need to get Melissa in the movie.  Maybe as a sideline reporter at the Stagg Bowl:

You can also get some nice pictures if you google:

Melissa could play the French foreign exchange love interest of Borchert, Ballard, or whichever QB is inserted in the plot.  Or we could go the Necssary Roughness route and she could be the kicker, whichever way will give her the most on screen time.

HSCOACH Thank you for that link!  Ah the memories! She got married..but I forgive her.

I wonder how our counterparts on the other boards would cast the  Raiders if they were in charge? I bet it would not be quite the same. ;)

If the script is to be based on a conflict I can think of about 54 or 55 that come to mind. Pick any, or all for that matter. I cant even count all the heros, too many to list. But villians...now thats where it get interesting! Think of all the opponents that gave the Raiders a hard time.before losing. Now who could play those parts?
