Darn.  Where is that, "sarcasm smiley," when you need it?     8)

What kind of face could you use to show sarcasm? Perhaps we need a designated type font for sarcasm, possibly a colored one. Suggestions?

That beats the KC Keeler face suggested by Goal Line Stand.

Wow,

At least I lit up the board or was it bored a little. Sarcasm dripping all over the place. Get out the hip waders.

Pat,
Yes I am very aware of LK's other "coaching" accomplishments and I follow them with some MUC pride even in the pro's with Dom Capers. There is only room for one HC in Alliance so the rest are making a successful way  in other areas of coaching. Last month in the Raider news letter there was a vast list of coaches at all levels that have come through LK's program. You can read a copy on Ric's site.

Thanks JK for the support. You have read me well. I like that subtle jab now and again and I must have hit a few nerves. I did mention in an earlier post when Coach Z was hired that he was bringing a sense of the right way to do things from MUC and not the systems that were in place. He has accomplished many things since leaving Dear old MUC and that would be the reasons for his hire at WW. I look forward to trying to meet him when WW makes their trip to St Cloud in Sept. It will be a great double header day with St Johns playing in the afternoon and WW at St Cloud State at 6pm.

Turning the program around may have been a little misleading in my comment but bringing in the MUC influence and getting a mercenary QB for one season looks a little suspect. Now before anyone jumps all over that I do not have any thoughts that WW had anything directly to do with Danny Jones? transfering to WW for his senior season. He is taking  a risk that he will be taking that QB spot over returning members of the team. New team, new system, new coaching staff, new geography (just how much snow did they have in CA last year?).....good luck. Except in the Stagg Bowl VS the Raiders.

Actually.........SARCASM ALERT! SARCASM ALERT!

He called Mount first and was told they were already set at the QB position with the Stagg Bowl MVP returning for his "Junior" year. ;D

Here we go again? I hope so.

The team with the distinction of playing the 'weakest' opener....ONU.

I agree. I think there was a reciprocal agreement between Millikin and ONU in scheduling last year and this year. Hopefully, the 2008 opener is a bit more exciting/challenging. I would love to see them play U of Dayton!

I believe the Bears are going to tough to beat this year. They remain strong on defense and if Pankratz can get some protection from the O-line, Wittwer and Meadows should provide some offensive fireworks for the Bears.

ONU doesn't gain anything in D-III by playing Dayton. It's of no help towards making the playoffs.

I wasn't suggesting that smiley as the "sarcasm smiley."  That smiley was meant to say, "I said my piece, hope we are cool."

Hey, Raiderguy,
You know I thought I had to call you on it. Got to have an exchange once and awhile just to keep the boards interesting.   ;D  I agree with you regarding Jones but he did come to the Hawks, I believe, not the other way around.  It is surely a risky move and one I doubt I would have the balls to make. Which begs this question.  Does the coaching staff go with this warm-weather QB, knowing that it will take 1/3 to 1/2 season to get him comfortable with the offense and you only have him for one season?    You would be crazy not to think about whether he can play in the cold and snow.  Wesley sure couldn't.   ;)  Or do you stay with the experienced senior or your hotshot sophomore who is your future?  Guess it will all be decided in camp.  He would have to really dazzle me if the decision were mine.

I have heard of a WR from Miami (OH) coming to ONU. I haven't heard a name yet, but will post when I do.

Marietta has a few. Not sure if they're supposed to be secrets or not, so I'll keep them quiet.

Derek Stanley signs with Rams!  Great job and great news.  D3 to NFL.   Congrats to all who played with him and helped him along the way.  :-*
