Hello all! This is my first post on this board. Not only am I a huge fan of Division 3 football and the OAC, I will begin playing in the OAC this fall at Heidelberg college. Now you all can go ahead and point your fingers and laugh because cahnces are I will be the laughing stock of the conference. Espeacially as a 5'7", 170 pound running back. LOL. But you never know, look at guys like Garret Wolfe, who happens to be one of my role models. Anywho, just wanted to make myself known and I look forward to a long season of heated debates and good times here on this board.

Good luck at Heidelberg.  There's no reason to be negative or expect anyone to finger-point so best of luck your freshman year at the Berg.  I'd love to see the Student Princes turn it around and I hope it's just a matter of time for Coach Hallett.

Ok, the "welcome" section is done.

Your enthusiasm is appreciated but I doubt you'll be on here for long.  I suggest you cut your posting right now if you intend to play OAC football.  Most coaching staffs in the OAC don't want their players posting on here and I doubt it will be any different for the Berg.  You don't want to get into any heated debates in here, but rather let the play on the field do the talking for you.  The ramifications of posting on here could ruin your time on the football team if you say the wrong thing.  It's playing with fire.

You'll have plenty of time to post when your playing days are over.  We'll all still be here.  It's just in your best interest and your team's best interest to not post while you're playing.  You wouldn't want to say something on here the jeopardizes your team or your play.

Best of luck in Tiffin.  It's a nice campus.  There's a decent sports bar/restuarant on the river but I can't remember the name.  I hope you do well and enjoy your time playing for the Berg.

RC,

I think the sports bar you are thinking about is Shell Shuckers!!!

gobucks:  Welcome to the OAC family, but RC is right.  Active players shouldn't be posting on here.  Especially once you get on campus or with an e-mail address that includes any personal info that they can track who you are.

That said, I am glad to see some excitement at Heidelberg.  Would love to see Coach Hallett turn that program around.

GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!

Best of luck man -- spread the word about the site to your teammates and fellow incoming frosh.

We do not have a rule against players posting but most coaches do. You'll want to check. But definitely stick around and read. Get a classmate to do your posting for you. :)

A while back, I think it was MU's unofficial web-site, had Marietta picked 4th in 07 in the OAC.  With only about 8 weeks to kick-off was wondering if you guys agree with that assessment.

Ric didn't "Pick" them 4th.  If you read the article it states:

I've got them fifth in my preseason ranking.  But I have Heidelberg third and Mount Union sixth.

My list is alphabetical.

Actually, they were predicted 7th.  Go to the very bottom of the article on Ric's site.

And yes, I still believe that way ;D

Matt Kostelnik had the best year of any D3 player last year, and maybe in MUC LB  history, And topped it off by breaking the back of WW with his blocked punt in the Championship game. How could anyone have a better year? The only guy who comes close, and I'm talking big plays,is MUC LB;Touchdown Jesse Pearson in 2000.There is a kid coming this fall, who will be a sophomore, that nobody is talking about yet.He will see action in the backfield, on kicks and at end,ala Ted Ginn.LK has noticed this kid.Explosive.RC is so right to tell the Berg kid what for.Listen to him buddy!

I thought Kostelnik played Safety?
