I thought Kostelnik played Safety?

He does...Mount plays the 4-2-5, he may be a safety type that they bring down to the L.O.S. more often and so some might consider him like a hybrid LB.  Although IMHO I think most would consider him a Strong Safety type.

Eric Studeman had a similar situation at NCC.  He garnered honors as a TE because they would line him up at TE on certain plays, but more often than not he was split out.

Looks like Rocy Pentello didn't see any action in USA's 77-0 win over South Korea.

D3 Poster

of the coaches & media OAC preseason pics over the '04-'06 seasons:

1) 100% correct in picking #1 & #10 (Heidi was unanimous only in the coaches '06, while MU was all three years)

2) Otters were the media darling of '06 with a #4 pick and 237 pts vs 160 in the prior year

3) ONU was the surprise team in '04 finishing 2nd after preseason #5s

4) Etta was the only team consistently underrated in the polls vs actual finishes

5) Coaches & media underrated BW in '06

6) The polls were exactly the same 1 thru 10 order when comparing the average pts the past three years

7) Even if they don't mean much...can't wait for '07 polls

The two QBs who played for the US had a total of 12 pass attempts.  There were 5 offensive TDs, 2 defensive TDs, and 4 special team TDs.  Not much need for the passing game I guess...

Here's hoping I get to see that Field Turf in person sometime soon. ::)

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Salem feels more like home all the time.  ;D
12-0 = 13

It feels great to be back. See above posts on players and coaches posting. NCAC football really is Busch league.
If you want to play football on carpet, you might as well play with 3 lineman indoors.
Reality Check can't spell alphabetical. Remember we're Northern grads.
I think everyone in here picks Mount 1 and Berg 10 every year.

You can't smell it in here, but we're about three feet deep in it.

OK, so it was only 9th.  But anything other than last place is a huge step for The Berg.

Capital quarterback Rocky Pentello suffered a knee injury during Team USA's training camp in San Jose and will not see any action in the World Championship of American Football, although he is with the team, in Japan

reality check

Too bad for Rocky.  I hope he still tries to catch on in the arena league or elsewhere.

We're getting closer and closer to college football.  Anyone have any freshman class numbers or key recruit info for their programs?  We haven't heard any news or speculation on Perci Garner in at least twenty minutes.

I do know of a couple transfers at ONU and know there are about 15 out-of-staters (half a dozen FL kids)expected at camp along with the rest of the freshmen.  I can't wait for kickoff in Ada.

I heard Rocky's walker had a flat and that caused the injury. ;D
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

At least 2 Team USA players (D2) are older than Rocky.
