Who says it's an 8-man offensive front?  Maybe they're running a 6-2 defense and the free safety is too deep and therefore off the page.

My bad!

I was assuming the formation to be offensive and therefore that should be "8 men on the line of scrimmage" with the ONU wide-out causing the violation.

Now defense?  It looks like you are lining up against UMHB!

Guys, just so you know, it's legal to line up with 8 on the line.  In fact, it's legal to line up with 10 on the line.  The rule is just that you can't have less than 7.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Thanks Tartan, I don't think anyone said you couldn't, but we appreciate you coming over here to educate us.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Compliments of The Ric.

That was the preview you were echoing about?!?  I don't want the read any more about how much Mount Union returns.  I'd prefer to just throw on my orange-tinted glasses and hope for the best thank you.

Besides, without Perci Garner, what hope does MUC really have?

Hmmm, I think they make an ointment for that.

hscoach--great job on the preview.  I sure am looking forward to those six home games--might even have to do some traveling during the regular season this year.

If you're aware of it then I can be sure it's hot tub approved.  Thanks for the tip hscoach.   ;D

Its nice to see another OAC'er doing well at another level.  I saw where former Polar Bear DB Rusty Midlam was named co-defensive player of the week in the AF2 registering 8.5 tackles, 2 picks and a break-up.  From the blurb on af2.com, Midlam is leading the Louisville Fire in tackles and has 4 picks.

Great job on the Purples preview.Cecil Shorts is the newcomer everyone is talking about. He will play offense.

Question (maybe this has been talked about before but here goes)...

Would giving out scholarships at the DIII level ruin the integrity of DIII? Would it bring parity?

A Division III with scholarships would kill what makes it unique and special. Might as well call it Division II-AA.

As I'm searching for as much info on the Pios team this year I come across this article. I know Mt. Union fans don't need any extra fuel to get hyped but here it is anyway.

By the way, Go Pios!
