How they go for the rest of the OAC?

From what I've seen and heard, MU dominated WJ, BW dominated Wooster and Marietta had their way with St Vincent which is just starting a program.

As for traditions, watching 200 plus guys in purple run out of that tunnel in Mout Union Stadium still gives me chills.

Seventies,
I know what you mean.   I sit straight across from the tunnel...they run right at me.   What a sight!

Muskingum just finished the remodeling of the Home Team Locker Room. I haven't been in many D3 Locker Rooms, but to me, these look pretty nice.

The fierce looking Muskie on new helmets in photos has to be worth 2 or 3 points in a game.  It scares me to death. ::)

Seriously, it beats heck out of The Evergreen State College (WA) Geoducks (pronounced gooey ducks) or the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs.

Along with wanting to know about D3 Wooster like traditions, how about tailgate traditions, does anyone know of any that compare to the St. John's Stiftingfestivities? I'm just curious of what to look forward to, other than great football, as I travel through the OAC and beyond.

Speaking of Stiftungsfestivities...

All Marietta fans please join us for a tail gate of German proportions!  All are welcomed to the Stiftungsfestivities beginning at 10:00am this coming Saturday morning.  Join us above the south endzone parking lot for pregame fellowship.

For more information and a look at the Johnnie Underground check out www.JohnnieFootball.com.

Musky's new locker room looks a lot like the facilities at ONU.  I'm pretty sure that the students at ONU now do a march to the stands but I could be wrong.  I've seen photos and think it is a new tradition for Dial-Roberson.

Re: spreads

Last year I noticed that most times there was a game being picked on both boards, that the NCAC underdog was given even more room for error.  There's bound to be differences of opinion and last year anyways, the OAC seemed to have slightly more aggressive spreads.  I don't think it is indicative of much though.

I'll have to remember that in future spreads.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I just visited, again, www.JohnnieFootball.com. Very nice, very nice. I am impressed by the effort that went into it and it already has me more informed and more excited about this weekend. I look forward to meeting the Johnnies and maybe some Janes, no not Mary Jane. Due to the fact I may have a hard time bringing some Crown Royal, will one of you Johnnies purchase a 750 ml bottle for me and I will gladly pay you back. Do you Johnnies need me to bring anything? I may be one of very few Pios that post on here but I did talk to several, okay about 10, who said they were going to the game. I doubt that some of them actually know what tailgating is all about. I on the other hand believe tailgating is almost just as important as the game itself. Lets get this party started!

Got bored this afternoon at work plus thinking about the 12 hour drive to Mount Union Friday so I can see my son's team (Averett) get .........well we won't go there, but I clicked on your web site and was very impressed. Nice job. I will check back in later on to see your updates. Good luck to your school this year, and keep up the good work on the site.

While I'm sure you'll be meeting quite a few Johnnies, I'm not sure you'll run into any Janes.  Bennies, on the other hand...  (St. John's is an all-male institution.  St. Ben's is the sister school--all-female, located 3 miles away in St. Joseph.  All the classes are co-ed, but the schools are seperate.)

So far as tailgating treats go, if you could bring a regional delicacy that would be awesome.  What is the local fare of Southeastern Ohio, Kentucky Fried Chicken?

Thanks for the kind words on the website!

Mapquest says 8 hours 50 min. but by the time momma checks out every rest stop and everything else she wants to see, and I stop 10 times for food, it will take me 12 hours. I hope not cause I wanted to see the hall of fame, but we will see.
