My thought and prayers go out to the Draves family and the entire Mt. Union community!
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

Yes I know John, I don't know a nicer person.  It's a really sad time.

I mean as JCU fan they really haven't prooved anything yet. The Wooster win was not as impressive since what happened to Woo in week 2. Againt this week shouldn't be too big of a test sorry Berg fans, but  JCU won't be tested for another week or so. But, IMO I don't think that JCU should be in the top 25 YET. But, again... It would be nice to get some recognition.

Thoughts and prayers to the community of Alliance.

In any circumstances the whole football thing not only should seem trivial but in fact is trivial.

Reference the quote at the bottom of my postings!
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Terrible news from Alliance.  Not talking to my parents as much as I should, I didn't have any idea about this until I saw it on here.

I too know John Hampu.  Not very well, but I have made his acquaintance through my parents.  From what I can recall, he was a very good guy.  Tough, tough thing to deal with, especially for someone who dedicated his life to helping kids.

Presto

good luck to all this weekend for a injury free weekend and go bw

Well Presto, I'll throw out some thoughts on the match-up.

BW is definitely the heavy favorite once again in this one.  The Pioneers will have to play much better than in week one to have a shot.

After seeing how the Jacket defense shut down the Augustana running game (I do hate that offense) and the Auggie's are a run machine, maybe Marietta will exlcusively go with the shot-gun.  Hopefully, the d-line will tire from rushing the passer all day and open up some running lanes for the Pio ball carriers late in the game.

Defensively, Marietta will need to shut down the BW running game (I'd take a repeat of last year, giving up only 32 yards) and contain the two good QBs.

Looks like a tall order for the boys in blue & white.

D3 Poster:  That was a very good analogy. I agree with everything you stated except possibly the shot-gun. The Pios will be pass happy and if BW can put on a rush or defend the pass, the Pios will be in trouble. I'm going to the game and I definitely don't want to see what I saw in Minnesota. Goooooo Pioneers!

Holy smoke!  BW talk?

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Was wondering if anybody saw the replay of Michigan and Appalachian State and thought as I do that if Ohio State had played them week one instead if Michigan, that OSU might be nursing a black eye as well? Ohio State is not hitting on all cylinders yet, and Appalachian State looked to be pretty efficient for the first game of the season. They certainly had some gifted athletes. Smart too! What if MUC played Appalachian State? How would the game have gone?

Any chance that the Cardinals get some revenge for the Purple Raiders going 'Averett' on them last year?

The only thing Otterbein is going to get is another 50+ point butt kicking and a long and very late bus ride back to Westerville.  The biggest question for tomorrow is whether Otterbein can score.

For those of you participating in the OAC Pick-Em's, almost all of the picks are in.

Lock of the Week is Whitewater over St Cloud State 85% to 15 %.  Yikes.

Pick-Em of the Week is ONU and Muskingum split at 50/50.

Yippie. ;D  I finally set a spread high enough on MUC to get a good distribution of picks.  MUC gets honorable mention as the Pick Em of the Week with MUC (53%) over Otterbein (47%).

Messing around on JCU's new athletic site, and I forget if we mentioned it, but Brady Quinn was shoping for a new team a few weeks ago... Take a look...
