terrible pass interference call

Refs made up with a terible roughing the kicker call later on JCU.  That was questionable even as running into.  No way it should have been PF.

I agree with you on the interference call though.

What a butt kicking by the Raiders today.   44-0 and it wasn't that close.  ONU had no answer for MUC's speed on defense.  And once again, MUC's offense moved the ball at will by spreading the ball around.  What a display without Garcon stepping on the fielding, even as a decoy to setup someone else.  ONU really needs to recruit some more athletes, especially for the offense.  RJ Meadows is a nice back, but MUC has 3 RB's (Kmic, Wray and Morring) better than RJ.  And with an average QB and few playmakers at WR, the ONU offense was very average.

ONU did make history today with about 4-5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter:   They made the 1st string offense punt.  Which was the first punt this season for the starting O.

What in the world has happended to BW?  WOW!   You can officially stick a fork in the Flaming Pile.

Congrats to Coach Hallett and the Berg players.  I assumed the Berg would be back in the near future, but I never figured they'd be back to respectable so soon.  Bigtime congrats to the Berg seniors that have hung thru three 0-10 seasons to finally see their hardwork and dedication payoff.

i don't know what happened to bw today and frankly i don't want to know i'm glad i didn't make that trip.  obviously the defense is not at all what i thought it was.  congrats to mike hallet who from all postings is a class individual just sorry that win came against bw.

I donated a bunch of Mount/BW tickets to a drawing by the local athletic boosters. They don't look like that big a deal anymore.

So, if St Johns might not be as good as we thought, does that mean Marietta is even worse than we thought?  Inquiring minds want to know ???

Final:
Marietta 27
Muskingum 21

10 yards from end zone, Pioneers hold Muskies on last play as time runs out.
Muskies came back to tie at 21-21, but Pioneers put up another quick TD.  Muskies still had a chance with a couple minutes left, but couldn't score as time expired.
Marietta covers spread (+4.5 Muskies) for those who picked Pioneers.  [not me :'(]

If Heidelberg can win another game against a quality opponent would that warrent consideration for Coach of the Year? It might be the first time a coach with a losing season won the award. Turning around a program with a 30 game losing streak is no easy task. Im impressed. Do you think somebody underestemated their opponent this week?

I would consider Hallet for Coach of the Year after this win.  Looking at their schedule, if they continue to play this well, they could have a WINNING season.

Was at the ONU/Mount debacle.  Great atmosphere, as it usually is at Dial/Roberson, and that was about all the positives I can say about the day if you are a Bear fan.  Hottest October game I can remember being at.
I came away with the feeling that first, either the "purple people from Alliance" are that dominant, or second, ONU is not as good as advertised or third, the rest of the conference is not that strong.  Mount spanked what was supposed to be a solid Bear team and really had no problem doing it.  As posted before, I felt the Bear line was suspect, and I still feel that way; I was disappointed by the starting QB, not very mobile and not really very productive.  As some alluded to before, R.J. can be stopped by a good defense, particularly with an "O" line that is not able to provide many seams and an offense that is not very creative.  Defensively not at all what I expected.  They simply got handled!
I've seen the "purple people from Alliance" 5 out of the last 6 years, and this version looked very good.  Depth being better than in the past.  I will admit it now, if the closest anyone comes to them in the OAC is 44-0, the Stagg bowl will be a laugher, or if it is not, it is indicative of a down year for everybody in the OAC except the "purple people from Alliance".

Hate to disagree with you.....no not really!, but Mount doesn't have 3 backs better than R.J. they have a better "O" line than ONU, and are more versatile on offense than the Bears.  I'll give you Kmic, but not the other 2.  Especially when I saw #28 taunting the ONU crowd early and than he promptly got an unsportsmanlike penalty called on him, out of character and a little embarassing for a team as good and as successful as Coach L.K. produces.

Apparently Mount has the better defense if Northern averaged -0.3 per carry. This is  probably not the audience that wants to hear about ONU's running game today. 8) 8)

I've been watching Mt. football since 93.  This is the most complete team 0n offense they have ever had.  Even the back ups are good.  They have no weaknesses that I can see.  Their special teams are getting better and their defense seems to improve each week.   definitely the juggernaut of D3 football this year.
