The one stat that caught my eye has nothing to do with the OAC, but rather with one of the schools here where I'm living now.  Josh Vogelbach of Guilford College has more passing yards than total offense yards (383.8 vs. 378.5).  I'm guessing that's because he's been sacked for more yards than he's run for and that's counting against his total yards?  Either way, he's still first in the country in both.

HS Coach....The second best offense in the OAC is Mount Union's second team offense.

Mr. Ypsi

hscoach, note that MUC's punter is #2 in the OAC at 40.0.  Of course, since he gets less than one third of the minimum ppg, he'll never get listed!

My fellow d3.com posters...This is for all football fans at every level...We need some grass roots help here to change the minds of the status quo elite to "right a wrong" by signing an on-line petition...If you know the story great...If not, the book has now been published...The movie script has been finalized...A Director is on-board and a Studio will be named very soon...Another Seabiscuit perhaps?...You heard it here first...Go to espn.com's page 2, scroll down to Tony Latone to click on the link to sign the petition....Also pick up a copy of the book...If you played the game, are a real fan or both, you won't be able to put it down until you complete it!...Simba

Just thought i would give a shout out to Capital in the crusade against Ott this weekend.  One more week of preperation before the Mount game.

Ric might need some stilts to see over the Capital D-line because after watching the Cap vs. John Carrol game they are big

i am going to make the trip to mount union saturday to see the game i would like to think we can stay within a couple touchdowns like we have the last couple of years but with the injury situation and the way this muc team looks i think that will be difficult for us. one thing i have read on here over the last couple of weeks people that didn't like the way snell acted on the sidelines, etc.  i just want to say the man is a gentleman he'd do anything for his players and he is loved by the team. he really is a very classy person and coach.

...Another Seabiscuit perhaps?...

Thanks for the compliment Simba.  I'm glad you enjoyed one of my films.

I heard you can rent booster seats for 5 bucks.

Sure would be nice if someone could scare you Mounties a bit in the regular season.  3/4 of the board appear to be hibernating until the playoffs or bored to death with the triviality of the regular season.  This is about as quiet a week as we ever get in the season on this board.

I almost wish a certain someone was on here talking up the Pioneer win in Ada from 2006 and how that translates to an obvious victory in 2007.  That said, I might have to disappear too if ONU doesn't come away from the river with a convincing win.

Hey RC!

Thanks for the tip last week.  My QB ended throwing a PERFECT screen to...........their DE!   >:(

Ah well....such is life in PeeWee football.  We get to play on turf this week for "Bowl Week".  The kids are excited.

Hopefully, CAP doesn't pull a DUH! and stub their toe against cross-town rival OTT this week.  And, I can't see B-W pulling an "ONU upset" this week either so if things go as hoped next weekend should be an exciting one at least on paper.

Hmmm....I thought the original Pioneers were a hardy bunch.  Come on Kcredcs.......step up!   ;D

It's so boring, I almost wish a random ONU poster would comment how with the Bears mired in a two game losing streak, injuries and inconsistent QB play, render another potential Pioneer upset meaningless. ;)

Darn Mount Union, the Raiders just take all the fun out the OAC regular season.

I suggested a quick-hitch (releasing your playside linemen), I take no responsibility for the screen other than that I said if your line is as bad as you said they were, that a normal pass block effort would work like a screen!

What injuries?  If Marietta wins this game, they do have something to hang their hats on.  Winning this year would mean more for the Pios because they stink and ONU has to be better than they were when both teams played last year.  If Marietta wins this Saturday, I will certainly grant the team and fans a hardy congratulations.  And if ONU wins, I will say less about Marietta because ONU has no excuses not to beat Marietta.

Yep, this place is dead.  Makes me almost wish for Busta99 and Doeder. Almost.
