Shame on Cap for removing all the luster off the MUC trip to Columbus next week.  Ugh! >:(

And congrats on pissing away your Pool C playoff bid.

What if they don't make it into the playoffs?

We'd be able to tell by the airborne swine.
Or  maybe that hell froze over?   ;)

I try to stay out of there. :)

Meadows started...had a few nice runs ealry, but a fumble sent him to the bench.  Played periodically throughout the game after that.

QBs alternated.

congrats to Mt. D.  They came up with big plays when needed.   BW came to play and moved the ball against the raiders.  Micheli had a rough day.  He was hurrried by BW and failed to see the open receivers.  Garcon is back and his speed and agility were no match for BW.  Kmic ran well as Mt. pretty much ate up the clock in the 3rd quarter.   Not one of Micheli's banner performances but BW played aggressive on D. He had some good runs and picked up a number of needed first downs.  I thought Mt. may have been looking ahead somewhat to next weeks game.  It appears Cap was.

B-W's cheerleaders outperformed their football team today...those girls were great! The noise from their bench had us looking for a wounded moose.

Haha. I could hear them through the Mount radio, so they were definitely loud.
But yeah, the games seemed a lot closer than the 35-0 score. Granted after Otterbein-Cpital today I don't think Mount has to worry.

as usual, BW defense came to play....Micheli under pressure and plenty of great hits on both sides of ball..BW offense was disappointing, but MUC defense is incredibly fast and proud...

Cap gate may have taken a big hit today.....6233 fans at Mount today.standing room only...

BW cheerleaders were outstanding....

the tradition of BW players raising "four" at the end of the third quarter is on life support....less than 50% of players participated today...It was once a proud tradition for the Jackets....when you are getting you helmets handed to you is the time to show your proud tradition...today's demonstration was impotent..

#27 for BW played a great game on Defense

What!!!!!!and follow Caps and BWs example? NO WAY.
If BW was as prepared to play Heidi as they were to play MUC, then I wouldnt suspect that they were studying MUC tapes instead of the team they were supposed to beat that week. Same goes for Cap. Maybe our opponents believe it actually takes 3 weeks to prepare for MUC now :o

As for the BW cheerleaders.......the Wilmington girls made a real big impression the week before with all their lifts and tumbling........but those BW girls might have been just a tad better. I had to give them a standing ovation once or twice myself. ;)

On Cap losing this week....does that mean that parking places will be easier to find now? Take your laptop and do a google arial search for a parking place and save some time and gas ;D

Since the Cap loss has made the BW cheerleaders the lead story, I also have to give cudos to them for being the best looking group we've seen so far.  Easily outclassed the Raider cheerleaders yesterday.

Cute?  Yes.  But I doubt they can do 500+ pushups ;D

For years I've read how unbalanced the OAC is in comparison to the WIAC and other conferences.  I say NO MORE!  After performances by  Heidelberg, Otterbein and others this season the OAC is second to none...top to bottom.

Everyone knows they will make it into the playoffs.  Everyone knows all about Mount Union.  Not everyone knows about the other schools around D3 fighting hard to get into the playoffs (Like St. Norbert, who was on the cover earlier).

If Pat did as you suggest, we might as well call it MountUnionFootball.com because they would be on the cover every week.  99% of D3 schools, fans, and players do not want to see that.

Sorry, but it's just the way it is.

According to D3's current poll, nobody cares about the 238th team in D3.  They do care about the top teams and Mount is a top team - sorry, that's just the way it is.

Current Poll
What is your team playing for at this point?
A trip to the playoffs:
71.1%
An ECAC bowl game:
4.3%
A winning record:
9.8%
A win against our archrival:
5.8%
Not to get hurt:
8.7%

I also am interested in reading about other programs however I would like to correct you on one point.  Mount Union supporters make-up more than 1% of the supporters to this site and D3 football in general.  Sorry but that's just the way it is.  Please don't speak for the 99% that you don't represent.

Thanks d3poster

I went to Marietta's live stat link and the first quarter play by play apparently goes from bottom to top as opposed to the logical top to bottom.  I don't get it but it makes sense now that I know Meados had a couple good runs.

Props to Otterbein over Capital.  Sounds like the Cards are playing some good football.  Their QB Jack Rafferty came out of the same high school (Dublin Coffman) as Brown's QB Brady Quinn.  Rafferty led a fine effort yesterday.  On defense, Wil Longsdorf made 12 stops.
If Otterbein played all their games like they usually do against crosstown rival Capital, they'd be a playoff team every year.
