Trinity...forgetaboutit!! Unreal! Only thing that was missing was the band in the endzone.

Mount's defense IS that good as another shoutout proves it. Cap played a great defensive game but you will always have a hard time stopping our O.

I would deeply disagree with that being the greatest play in D3 this year or any year. Wierd, bizarre, strange, really fun, but hardly great.  ;D

Thanks for my 30 seconds in the D3 pulpit
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

You can take holding Kmic to 3 yards a carry.  I am happier with ONU holding him to less than 100 yards and 2 less TD's.  He had more carries against the Crusaders but he found the endzone less often against the Bears.  Pick your poision really.

Yeah I learned to count in grade school.  CJ offered me a chance to take a typing class.  And then at Northern they taught me how to open a browser window and navigate the internet.  It's amazing how it all comes together in one beutiful moment like that.  And I learned long before the OAC just how ugly the combination of brown and yellow is on a uniform.   ;)

tdubs,

If realitycheck were a Badin grad, you'd see clearer posts using analogies and whatnot.  As a C-J grad, we take what we can get from him. . . ;D

So does anyone in here think the OAC is worthy of the 2nd place team making the dance this year?

The Trinity/Millsaps play was GREAT. . . and I disagree with what was said in here. . . it is definitely play of the year due to its improbability... 14 laterals!!  I counted (Badin math here).

ESPN has now shown the highlight and claims 15 laterals, lol, maybe with all the razzle dazzle another ball was put on the field!  ;) ;D

If they were forward passes you wouldn't know what to do with it (being a Badin grad).   ;D

So much for playing a soft schedule (MHB) to get you ready to play a good team (UWW).

I have been going to MUC games since 1977.  No team comes close to their talent, size, speed and depth.  (1997 would be the closest).  From what I am seeing in DIII, only Mary Hardin Baylor would be able to give Mount a real game.  Does anyone know that much about MHB?

After today's results, maybe you want to re-phrase your question? Could only Whitewater give Mount a real game?... or Who would be able to give Mount a real game?

It appears I was wrong about Whitewater.   Also I thought MHB had more horses than it appears they do.   I'm on for a MUC-UWW rematch.

Tdubs:  Posting a steriods accusation with nothing more than "he's bigger than everyone else" is beyond weak and a low blow.  For the record, the player in question has always been bigger than anyone else at his position.  And early in his career I assumed he'd out grow his position and end up at DE or DT.  You owe him and the rest of the Raider Nation an apology.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Results for Week 9 and games for Week 10 have been posted.

Congrats to Presto, Ric and Usee for winning Week 9 with 8 out of 12 possible points.

Only 2 weeks to go and there's still about 10 guys within striking distance of the Regular Season Pick-Em title.

Don't forget we'll be having a Playoff Pick-Em too.

I don't know much about MHB this year, but I saw them a couple of times when I was living in Austin.  I think my first time was back in the '01 or '02 season.  I remember being generally impressed with them at first.  Then, I realized that the program was only a handful of years old and I was greatly impressed.  Like Mount Union, they appear to be the school right now that is getting the best of the "second-tier" atheletes in the state, ie the atheletes that want to play, haven't been offered a good scholarship at a D-I school, and just want to keep on playing football as long as they can.

I recently posted over on the ASC board (MHB's conference) and they're a real good class of folks.  They were talking about their win over MUC living on in the school's lore for a while, because they know just what they did...beat the top team and program in the country on that team's home turf.  And they did that with a program that has been in existence for less time than MUC has been a player on the national stage.

So maybe this doesn't answer much about the team this year, but UMHB is a great program with some great fans.  From what I've read all season long, yesterday's performance was not indicitive of the team.  They'll be playing with a chip on their shoulder the rest of the season and could be downright scary in the playoffs if there's a chance for a rematch with Whitewater on the line.

jaypeter,

Thanks for the input about MHB.  I didn't know how they compared to the team that beat Mount in 2004.  They had been putting up some big scores and winning big.

SaintsFAN

mtfan,

that very well could be. . . thats probably the craziest lateral situation/play that I've seen in my 30 years on this planet.

thats true reality, touche!!  I went from having a high of 15 attempts at Badin, to discovering the forward pass at Thomas More and having a career high 51 attempts in 1998 at Wisconsin-Osh Kosh. . . coming out of HS under Malone, I thought the primary job of a QB was that of a cheerleader/expert handoff guy.

ok i just saw that final play in the trinity game.  Simply put, that was incredible.  I wonder if MUC has a play like that in the playbook.  Maybe ours is designed for 20 laterals
