hscoach,
I don't owe the fans an apology, I owe the kid an apology. I'm sorry #47 for accusing you of being bigger than everyone else out there. Way to work hard the hard way and get big. I hope you enjoy a long career and life. Didn't mean any harm by the comment.

As far as Badin and CJ go, I had the two evils as roommates in college. Great guys, and I couldn't tell you if they ever had trouble counting because they never went to class. haha.....Brown and gold is definitely really ugly. Nothing like being compared to poop and pee.lol.....Maybe that's why the new coach changed it to brown and white? Good luck to everyone, I'm finished posting. :)

Assuming that the rest of the regular season plays out as expected, it seems like the debate can begin about whether the seeding of the brackets sends the south bracket to the north or to the east.  Either way, it could be a good rematch in the semi's for UMHB...either MUC or UWW.  So, the question is, would we rather face UMHB in the semi's or have UWW face them in the semi's?

"Cap did only have 92 yards rushing"

tdubs:

Just to clarify the facts...Capital had only 45 yards rushing on 34 carries...not 92...for an average of 1.3 yards per carry.  Total offense for Cap was 92 yards on 56 plays...for a total of 1.6 yards per play for the game.

Ric,

I just saw your post today.  I was out of town for the game and did not check this site.  I will probably be sending you out another package in the mail later this week.

jaypeter:  Great question on the regional seedings.  It's safe to say that MUC and WWW will be playing at home if each make the semi's, but the South and East are a mess right now with MHB and Alfred loosing.  Right now, W&J would be the #1 seed in the South, but does anyone really think they'll actually make it out of the region?  Or even past the 2nd round for that matter.  And the East is shaking up to be whatever crappy team is undefeated even though St John Fisher is most likely the best team be a healthy margin.

Assuming the last two weeks play out as expected, I'd set the regions as such:

1.  North (Mount Union 10-0)
2.  West (Whitewater 9-0)
3.  South (Washington & Jefferson 10-0)
4.  East (RPI 9-0)

But I could easily see the South and East flipping each other.   If MHB would have beat WWW, then it would have been very clearly 1=North (MUC), 2=South (MHB), 3=West (SJU) and 4=East (whoever).  But now it's not so easy.

I don't necessarily care how the brackets work out other than I really don't want to see WWW again.  Been there, done that.  TWICE.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Tdubs:  Posting a steriods accusation with nothing more than "he's bigger than everyone else" is beyond weak and a low blow.  For the record, the player in question has always been bigger than anyone else at his position.  And early in his career I assumed he'd out grow his position and end up at DE or DT.  You owe him and the rest of the Raider Nation an apology.

Nobody owes anybody any apologies, shame on you tdub for apologizing - the best part of these forums is that you can say anything you want, weather it is fact or opinion.

Let me just say that there are more players lurking around these boards than you might think.  So I urge everyone to think before posting criticism of a student athlete, especially if only opinion, not fact.  My $0.02.

Let's just remember that one, or in this case, two, idiots representing a school with their posts do not actually represent the school.

What is really ironic is that the school that has shown so much class on the field, from its head coach on down, has ex-players or ex-students or ex-fans or whatever that think its funny to act classless on here.

The Heidelberg game.  I saw him prior to the game, his boot is gone and he should be back soon!

Thanks!  I'll wait to get it and add some to the game story. I appreciate the help!

First, I never accused anyone of using steroids. I just want to let everyone know that this board is not the Mount Union board but in fact is the OAC board. We can and will criticize anyone we want even if it has to do with how short you are Ric, go back to your high chair in the press box. Whether you think so or not but calling people idiots is not classy, sorry.

I would never say or use the excuse that Mount wins because one player looks big, heck I don't even know who you are talking about. I haven't seen Mount play this year. Mount has always been a great team and their players have always been a class act (except for a certain receiver that has been giving them a bad name lately) All I was doing was defending Tdubs, if you have opinions say them or not but be prepared to be ridiculed and poked if your opinions go against the grain, be prepared to stand behind them don't get pushed around by the Mount fans that think they run this board.

Besides without the individual opinions of members of each one of us this board would never exists.

tdubs

I was going to stay off of this board and never post again until Ric decided to call me an idiot.  I don't think it's funny to act classless. I'll have to agree with blind_side on this one. Mount has always been classy except for the one receiver this year. I'll give him credit for being a great player and playing hard. I have apoligized and admitted to being wrong in saying something about a certain player. If you're a player, take offense to what I said, but if you're just a super fan, then it shouldn't matter. It's just an opinion and it's discussions like these that make the board fun for all.

I am not representing any school. I am a Cap fan yes, but do not take what I say or write as a representation of the school or coaching staff. They are nothing but a class act, and if you took it the wrong way, I once again apologize.

If you read most posts, Mount fans do act like they run this board, and it's a shame. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. It may not be the one you like to hear, but people disagree on things on a regular basis. Good luck to all on the rest of your season. I'll be reading posts, but i'm finished posting. I don't want to disrespect any player or coach on this board from the school that I support.

blind_side

tdubs, your insight will be missed.

It's ironic that posters from the school that got so tired of hearing about the Rocky has been around forever jokes (as I did also) and responding numerous times by saying so when posts were made now find it as controlling when they suggest a Mount Union player is cheating.  One was a joke that ran its course, the other is at another level in my opinion.  If you want to call that controlling the board I call it defending a player and/or program.

It's also ironic that I didn't mention a poster or school by name or refer in anyway to who I was talking about but you two came on here defending yourselves to the hilt.

You both may think what you say is funny or whatever.  But I am pretty confident that the two people I consider friends that are either within or very close to the football program so near and dear to you don't care for some or a lot of the things you post. I'm not trying to say I know something someone else doesn't because  I have friends with other teams around the OAC, I'm just stating a fact.

This board can be a fun, knowledgeable place when used in the context it was intended.  Friendships can be developed across school lines.  But no one appreciates someone that just comes on here to shake the leaves.

BTW, blind_side, your high chair comment may have bothered me when I was in first grade.  But as an adult, I know what it means when someone has to resort to that kind of comment to make his point.
