I disagree Ex D3 Athlete.  I think its you that can't think beyond the length of your fingertips.  There have been numerous reasons, very valid reasons, why you will not get your wish and see Mount Union drop Marietta for (fill in the blank here).

What I want to hear from you are valid reasons for Mount Union to move to another level.  And if the only thing you can come up with relates to competition on the field don't bother the point is already proven.

Change, thinking outside the box, being optimistic, paradigm shift ... these are all words that I think some posters on this board (Toph - Reality Check - Ric - Pat Coleman) should consider.
Pat Coleman: I didn't know we could only post in certain forums, isn't that "Forum Descrimination" Mr. Coleman? Why does it matter how many times I've posted & what topics I'm interested in discussing Mr. Coleman?
Toph: I took English 101 in my freshman year and guess what ... I passed!

BTW, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to posters that can see past their keyboards and actually listen to what I was saying! (aueagle - ONUFB77 - rscl70 - Ajwassup)
Thank You very much guys for making me feel like my comments were welcome on the OAC boards!

fyi... anything you say about Mount Union on this board that the Mount SuperFan doesn't agree with is committing sin.

Ric

There were two scouts at John Carroll last Saturday.  One was from Cincinnati and I believe the other was from Indianapolis.

I for one am actually trying to be quite optimistic in my hopes that the next time someone wants to come in and play the "move up Mount" card, they think outside the box and paradigm shift themselves right out of the forum before clicking "post".

FYI - You get what you give.

It's not just Mount fans that know better regarding Mount playing up.  These are knowledgable people who know the benefits are far exceeded by the detriments.  It's not as easy as saying: "MUC is ___ amount of miles from a D-II school; problem solved."  Thinking this myopically only shows how small the picture is that you see or choose to focus on.

Mount gains nearly nothing from scheduling up.  D-II/I-AA's gain nothing by scheduling Mount.  Who could benefit from a matchup between the two?  I guess other D-III teams might feasibly feel better seeing that team from Alliance lose or play a tight one.  What a compelling (sarcasm) argument!!!  I've made this statement before and it sums it up best for me, if the OAC schools that play MUC year in and year out without complaint or filibustering for a move up aren't complaining, then what gives anyone else the right to?

Actually, it does. Check the Terms of Service about axe-grinding and being a troll.

Hopefully the MUC players made an impression on the Bengal scouts.  If they were able to start a bar room brawl, beat up their girlfriend and wreck their car I am sure the Bengals would be interested.

PurpleSuit

that would make the second time that the bengals have been at a Mount game this year.  they were at the Otterbein game in week 2.

+karma for Lou Holtz, East Liverpool and Kent State's favorite son!  ;D

Anyone watching the Akron-OU game tonight heard Lou correctly predict an Akron TD KOR.

I tried to find some info on him at Florida's site but couldn't find an email link of any kind.  You might contact Florida's SID via gatorzone.com if no one here has it.  I'm sure they'd be able to pass on your info or pass his on to you if you explained the reason for contact and that you're not some rabid SEC fanatic.

LOL Purple, I appreciate that.  They made an offer.  I passed.  Having too much fun as it is. ;)

After reading Pat's projecting the playoffs, has any OAC school been placed outside of Mount's bracket ever?  If Capital ends up in another region, I think that would be awsome for the OAC to possibly have two teams in the Stagg.  I know prob unlikely, but i think that would be interesting to see anohter OAC school battle UWW or UMHB
