If Donovan is slow to the hole, he's done.  MUC will overwhelm him before he gets going.  If he hits the hole very hard he has a chance due to his size.

Robinson was a nice back for SJF last year.  And ran very hard against MUC.  How would the East folks compare Robinson vs Donovan?

How about Juvan compared to Kramer (SJF)?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I have not predicted an Ithaca win, but you guys give the impression that Ithaca can not provide opposition to MUC....look no farther than '06....Fisher played with you!!!

And many of us were worried about how we'd match up against Fisher, given some key injuries that were being whispered about at the time.

Sorry, but I don't sense anybody here is all that concerned about the match ups this Saturday.

Please feel free to quote me ad nauseum.

They both hit the hole like a ton of bricks, and almost always fall forward. Robinson's vision and quick decision making seperates him from Donovan. I don't think Donovan will have as good a day at Mt. Union b/c as I said before, Robby had one of his very best games that day and only got 110 yards. Vs. anyone else he would have completely ripped them up.

That being said, I think the combination of Donovan & Baez (change of pace back) can be effective.

Juvan has a ton of talent that just hasn't seemed to come to fruition yet - Kramer is more seasoned, and seems to stay a little calmer under pressure. Both have very good TE's, but I think Kramer has better weapons at WR, perhaps giving him some better numbers.

Robinson's career rushing numbers:

829 carries for 4847 yards (5.85 per carry) and 59 TD's

Donovan's career rushing numbers:

716 carries for 3824 yards (5.34 per carry) and 45 TD's

Robinson looks like a better back for his career too so yeah I'll maintain that Robinson is a better back.

Of course, if Donovan could have maintained his freshmen numbers, we'd all be hailing him as the better guy.  Donovan needs 139 yards and 2 TD's to tie his freshman numbers for a season and he won't reach either mark.

Rushing         No Gain Loss  Net TD Lg  Avg
--------------------------------------------
Mark Robinson   28  124   14  110  1 39  3.9
Nate Kmic          42  371    0  371  3 64  8.8

There's your huge difference.  And it's gonna be same song, different verse come Saturday.

Firstly, when did we start comparing 'career' numbers....you were comparing 108 yards vs, 112 yards per YEAR.

Secondly, when did we say anything about Nate Kmic??  He's obviously a stud, but was never mentioned in this conversation.

Keep changing the parameters of the conversation to prove your point.

RC, are you one of the clowns who post the videos on YouTube??

and I'm sure anybody facing Whitewater should be. I'd prefer not to see them again this year. Sorry for accidenally speaking for the Crusader fans.

BTW I'd be more worried if we were facing Capital again this weekend.

You guys are funny....historically this could be celebrated as a match-up all time great D3 programs......instead, a good deal of posters on this board choose to act like old school Yankee fans....

I just did because I was curious.  Thanks for asking.

Keep changing the parameters of the conversation to prove your point.

I already proved my point and moved on to career numbers because I was curious.  When you start putting words in my mouth using phrases like "huge difference" multiple times in a post to try to disprove a point that was never even made aren't you changing parameters?  (nod your head here)  I just chose to look at career numbers to further illustrate the fact that Robinson is a better back on paper whether you look at one season or all four.  I didn't need to change anything because my point was already made in previous posts further solidified in recent posts.

I'm not even a Mount Union fan.  I'm an OAC fan and a respected of the Purple Raiders accomplishments.  I would've thought the whole ONU thing on the side of my posts gave that away but what can ya do?!?
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)

We can celebrate your historic matchup just prior to the old fashioned Midwest butt-kicking.

Not a Yankee fan, just a practical realist

I would be one of the "clowns" or "homos" or "jerks", or whatever the E8 board would like to call us, that made the youtube videos.  There will not be a video made for the Ithaca game, as there were no videos made when Mount played Muskingum, Wilmington, Averett, etc.

Who would have thought that the bright orange "ONU" paw print would have given away your allegiance?  These E8 guys have it all apparently, athletic ability and academics.

btw, Mount covers that 31.5 by the half.  41-0 MUC

What happened to playoff trash talk???

Just some questiosn to start some chatter.  I am looking forward to Saturday.  And I hope they're believing in themselves in Bexley.  It would be great to see CAP play their best against UWW.

Hey Reality Check!  Coach will have the guys believing.  Though we haven't made it past the other Purple team in the OAC yet we were definitely believing in years past.  Hoping the OAC teams show their best on Saturday.  Would like others to understand that there are other teams in the OAC besides the MTU Purple Raiders.  Good Luck to the OAC!!
