Does anyone know if Mount's game will be televised?   If so, do you know the details?   Thanks.

According to the Mt Union web site the game will be on WIVM tonight at 8PM and Sunday at 1 PM.

I'm assuming I won't be able to tune in via internet right?

www.wivmtv.com/tv/index.asp

Here's their web site.  They have a link to Titan TV which appears to provide programing over the internet.  I've never tried it.  Good luck.
I couldn't find them on any Internet listing today.  I tried. WIVM 52 Canton doesn't show up.

It's Time Warner channel 585, and is on at 1:00 PM.

Thanks Mt.Fan,

Before each game there is always an awful lot of mundane balony put out about both teams that oppose each other on Saturday. The only true measure of a game however, is how well each team performs when they face their opponent on the grass. The officials were lousy, both teams made some mistakes and it was a great day for football! Why focus on what has already been decided, which can't be changed. We should look forward to next week, the next time two teams will meet on the field, allowing the score and their individual performance to determine the outcome.

Ithica came to Mount and gave us a very good game, one that very few expected. There are a few of us that realized it was not a cake walk, although most folks could not accept that thought. Congrat's to Ithica for a very fine season this year and probably a better one next. If they can each look in a mirror and say they did their best, they should walk with their heads high, carrying pride on their shoulders. Playing against you can only make us better. I have not seen many negative blurbs about them on the OAC board, nor do I expect to, unless it is from some other team.

Raider fans should be thankful we have such a good football team to follow, along with all the bounty this great nation has to offer on Thanksgiving Day. I will look forward to see all of you on Saturday. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to ITH-A-CA and everybody who won't be on here this week.

I'm surprised by how quickly Eastern fans have jumped off the bandwagon because RPI and Hobart are out.  St. John Fisher is the only hope?  That may be.

TCNJ earned their shot.  They are smart players coached by one of the best coaches in DIII.  Hell, if you can get into TCNJ you are probably better off going to Princeton or Penn, because you get more aid.

If it wasn't for Rowan, Mount Union plays TCNJ once or twice in the Stagg.  I think the Lions have shot to make a game of it if they can produce on offense and give the defense a rest.  I wish it were Rowan this year, but they're not ready for prime time in 2007.  Having seen a very competative NJAC regular season, TCNJ is the best team from our conference.

Kind of surprised this hasn't been asked previously, but......those who saw the game, seems like MUC made a concerted effort to stop the run at the expense of the passing defense.

Thoughts??

It's the same defense we've seen all year, in fact they were giving up .4 yards a carry going into the game and that's what they gave up yesterday. I guess the challenge is that if your going to move the ball, you have to pass, and despite giving up 350 + yards passing, they still held Ithaca to 18 points which will seldom beat Mount Union. Not that they don't need to work on defending the play action stuff, but if you can force an offense into being one demensional, it is a great advantage.

Welcome back JT: The voice of reason in the East.

Interestingly: In New Jersey's season opening loss, Muhlenberg totally shut down TCNJ's running game. They could be in trouble this week.

TCNJ v. RPI game drew only 419 fans.
1822 in attendance for Mount Union v. Ithaca game was well below the average for Mount Union Stadium.
With Thanksgiving Break this week and TCNJ visiting, there might not be much of a crowd.

Never is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Unless it's another OAC school coming in.

And I'm not sure I believe the attendance # from yesterday.  Seemed more like 2,500 to 3,000.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

For all DIII Fans ...

Jason Trusnik was activated by the NY Jets off the practice squad and is playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Very nice to see a DIII alum on Sunday afternoon!

As far as the attendance at th TCNJ & RPI game. If anyone has ever seen the size of the field and bleachers. There was standing room only!!! It was a great turn-out from both schools.

Earlier in the week, I had mentioned that the East would probably be a higher level of competition than MUC was used to facing so far this season as it appeared (by the average score per conference game was 51-1) that the OAC may have been off compared to prior years.

That was a highly criticized posture.

For those that saw the IC/MUC game.  And based on that IC scored more points on them in one game than the OAC did in all of '07, has your opinion modified at all regarding the East?

Just finally getting around to catching up on the posts.  Actually just found out the score earlier this afternoon when I talked to my folks (my mom is an Ithaca grad).  mtfan, thanks for the kudos for the pick.  It really was selfish, though.  Almost any other time I've picked against Mount this year, they've proved me wrong.

As for your comment earlier in the week, SJF Fan, I'll address it from my own side, and how I read most of the posters over the course of the week.  For me, I was one of the first to say that the OAC has had a down year.  In fact, most of the truly regular posters here would agree with that.  Where I and a few others began to take exception, was when some other E8 folks started saying that the OAC is usually a weak conference.  That has not shown to be true.  When comments were made about Mount Union not enjoying their past success if they had been playing in the E8 or another tough conference, those posters were forgetting that during much of MUC's run, they have played in one of the tougher, more physical, and more competitive conferences in DIII.  It's not the WIAC, but it's been awfully close in many years.  It wasn't the comments about the OAC's strength this year, but it was the accusations that  the conference in years past has been weak that set some of us off.

You were correct, though, in asserting that 2007 was not one of our best years.  But, we'll be back.

I think they were still looking to put the right players in the right spots and design the plays/offense around them.  For the past couple years TCNJ has been a good defensive team in search of an offense.  The past few years have had an ineffective platoon at QB among other things.  They've stuck with one QB this year... the better one IMHO.  And they've got some kids that can make plays.  They seem to be a very clutch team on both O and D.

I really think that they'd smack Muhlenberg around at this time of the season.  The Rowan/TCNJ was a great defensive battle, and I though which ever team gets their offense going first will win the NJAC.  Rowan did not due in part to how young the key players are.

Sounds like there were "a few" unofficial attendants at both games.  Shhh...don't tell the NCAA.  ::)

Congrats to Trusnik for getting his first NFL snaps and recording his first NFL tackle.  I hope he continues to see time on Special Teams or at OLB for the remainder of the season.

That is too bad.  As I recall, though, Mt. Union only had just over 1800 for their first playoff game at home last year against Hope.  I guess it depends on who they (Mt. Union) are playing.
